    UPDATED - MK908 Finless 4.1.1 v1.4 - Repack with Vsync fix+

Here's a quick repack of Finless's Android 4.1.1 v1.4 for the MK908 including my vsync-fixed kernel and a couple ui tweaks. If you want a stable video system, including netflix, this is the rom for you. Not to say it's the best, that's a matter of opinion. Just flash with default options. Also includes cwm recovery.img that you can flash if you so desire. Enjoy!

    Download Link

Updated kernels Download Link - These will up your speed quite a bit and ideally fix the OTG issue. Also bluetooth works now - testing needed though. There are two kernels in this download. One is at 100% screen scaling, and one at 95% for those people with issues and funky tv's.

Edit again: 8/15/13 my new batch of kernels made with new (to me) sources that will work on version 1.0 sticks for sure, not sure about v3.0. These are solid as hell on my mk908, and I offer 3 choices in each resolution. Fast, Cool, and Cooler. Fast is 1.7ghz cpu, 800mhz ram, ondemand scheduler default, adjusted voltages for stability. Cool is the same deal with interactive scheduler basically which helps some with the heat and sort-of caps the processor at 1.2ghz. Cooler has the processor turned down as well as gpu speed. Ram is still at 800mhz. This one runs really cool on my stick, even under load. Of course there's some heat but it's the best I've achieved. Anyway, here is the Download Link for mk908-jjhkernel-v3.3.

    Enjoy!

      Appreciated!

      Hi hoabycsr,

Was figuring out that the Finless 4.1.1 v1.4 with your altered kernel would be best combination so far. So thanks for repacking it all together; giving it a go today.

For the OTB to work as USB, you have to deactivate "connect to PC" on USB settings.

I have Keyboard connected to big USB port and i must connect my hdd to OTG. But second port not work.

There is no "USB settings" in 1.4

                i only can change the settings under Storage>USB Computer Connection, there is three options to select;

                Media Device
                Camera
                Mass Storage

It should selected to one, tried every selection but none worked...

                  No wireless keyboard

So sorry to see, but my wireless keyboard doesnt get recognized / wont work with this ROM / kernel fix. Too bad.

[edit 1] reading back threads from Finless; always been a problem[/edit 1]

[edit 2] After setting it all up properly, using USB cabled keyboard/mouse I can report you back that so far I did not have ANY stutter in 720p video's streaming by WiFi. Not any problem with streaming TV apps. Those problemns that I encountered before with other roms all disappeared!

So far I'm very satisfied with this rom / kernel hoabycsr.

*back to bed watching Oblivion 720p over WiFi with your rom* [/edit 2]

Yeah I really just repacked it with Finless's system.img. Some problems may still exist. I am working on the USB OTG because that one really bothers me.

If I can fix OTG support, then yes. I have an idea.. ideally the new kernels I post for mk908 will fix it.

+1, eagerly awaiting. Since 4.2 breaks bluetooth (I need pinless trust for PS3 BD Remote, and Dual Shock 3!) I want 4.1.1, but Netflix is one of the biggest reasons for me to have such a device so I am using HFW with video fix

I haven't gotten to try this yet but I believe my new kernels may fix the otg on 4.1.1. They did fix it for 4.2.2. You can download my current stock kernels from this thread:

Edit: I put a link to the updated stock kernels in the first post of this thread.

Is it possible to get working bluetooth? It doesn't work with the bundled kernel or the linked kernel.

I need pinless trust which is totally gone in Android 4.2.2, "bluetooth pairing" app no longer works because Google broke bluetooth
