I apologize if my question is dumb but is it safe to say that this box produces a better quality picture when using apps like hulu, xfinity and other similar ones than for example beelink GT1? Or is it only Netflix that plays better?

      thank you.

I would recommend on Beelink GT1 Ultimate

Just ordered from AliExpress. The Price is below 60$.
It has 3G RAM and Memory of 32G. The processor is Amlogic S912 Octa Core CPU DDR4. In other words it's a beast for that price.
Here is the link for the Aliexpress Recommended seller:

        Enjoy,

I have a GT1 Ultimate. My question is, would this box ever support or be updated to Widevine??

his Rom Description says yes :
          • Netflix, youtube, playstore...etc... fully working (No 4k Youtube, that is exclusive of ATV rom)
          good luck

There is a process for burning the Widevine and HDCP keys in USB Burning Tool, but it requires license keys separate from the .img file that are usually only available at the factory. Secure storage in the chipset is also designed so that we can only write the keys, not read them from a shipped unit. It's technically possible for you to flash an L3 box to L1, but you'd need to have a source at the factory who was willing to risk their job to send you the files. Also, the keys are specific to hardware, so an L1 Widevine keybox for the M8S Pro+ couldn't be used on the M8S Pro or GT1.

Thank you for the explanation Magendanz. From what I understood, M8S Pro+ is a box with potential, I hope skilled developers like you and others keep supporting it!
