I tried to apply this thread's procedure to SCV4 and OTA SCV7A from

that should be possible, right?

but the process gets stuck on Step 5/5: the Upgrading bar proceeds to the right within ~10 seconds and then stops. No further progress, no messages, no reboot, no nothing.

I then unplug the box and power it again, and the standard firmware comes up, unchanged. (at least nothing is broken).

any ideas on what's wrong here?

hello, thank you very much for this tutorial, however being a novice in this area I think I understood until step 5 using img SCV2, however this one is call SCV1 green or blue, is that correct?
Step 6, is the OTA file used to update the box to version 7.1.2?

Yes, You should use SCV1, with version (and color) corresponding to Your PCB.
And I think (didn't check it) that both V1 and updates are 7.1.2. OTA brings updates to OS (not of OS) and apps.

You have to know that Android TV is not some kind of theme or mod for "normal" Android. It's different OS, so they are not "interchangeable". Still they're very similar as they base on same sources.

So depending of which OTA You have in mind, there is.V4A OTA for ATV version (SCV4A-ATV -> SCV1A-ATV) and V7A OTA for Non ATV Rom (SCV4 -> SCV7A).

I downloaded 2 files "SCV1 GREEN PCB IMG" + "OTA SCV4A ATV"
should I use them both or the first one is enough?

First one is enough, second one is just an update. Hovewer I believe that update is worthy being installed.

I have H96 Pro+, bought in decembre from Gearbest (wisdom version 3.14.29 - q201_9377-usergebug 7.1.2 NHG47L 20171020 test-keys ) . I heard that there are differnt FW for this box. Can I install the above mentioned custom ROM, if not, wich?

Nope. Superceleron's roms don't work with Wsdom Boxes.

As far as I thought, there is no, official or not, firmware.

So it may work for You.

Hi, I reached the step to update the box with the sd card. However, the andoid logo is grey in color and it just stuck in that upgrading screen forever. Photo attached.
My box is green pcb and I used the scv4.
Any advice will be very much appreciated. Thanks.
