Rikomagic MK22 Plus issue update firmware with USB burning tool

so assuming this will work , i would downlad the Amlogic SD burning software from the link below (one of the links inside this link) add the software and image file to the burnable
MicroSD card then after its all set up I boot from the card and will be promoted to starr like the windows Amlogic software? or is it more automatic?

Yes that is essentially what you do.

Once you have inserted the card into the box you hold in the reset button whilst powering up the box for around 3 seconds and the process will be automatic.

You will see an upgrading logo on screen showing you the progress and when finished the box will automatically reboot and after 5 minutes or so will be ready to use.

I've flashed mine a hundred times without having to take out the card.

When first booting is just sees the card as a normal sd card and mounts it, so just needs a normal eject to take it out.

Taking the card out whilst it was initially populating Android would put it at risk of being corrupted.

also looks like most recent download is from 2015. does anyone have a more recent copy and or link and all english ? thanks

I made a bootable MicroSD card with the burn card maker app
Followed all directions exactly. Just wanted to make sure this is a safe method to upgrade the firmware? my Rikomagic contact had not contacrdd
me back to advise why prior they said upgrade cannot be done via the microSD card. perhaps as they don't have an official process with Rikomagic... Has anyone here used the burn card maker to update the firmware in a Rikomagic player with the SD/MicroSD card? thanks

BTY, I found another freaktab post with the burn card maker
displays english better /100% after setting the language

So when you pressed in the reset button and applied power to the box, what did you see on the screen?

Ok. didn't know it was the same link as had difficulty getting it english

I have the card ready , was hoping to get confirmation from someone that they successfully updated firmware in a Rikomagic player just trying to be safe and see if i can verify this first

Basically I have been holding off as I've seen so many forums with firmware upgrade issues , players crashing etc,
not booting etc
just didn't want anything like this to
occur

As you have already trued to use the burning tool then you had placed yourself in the same position and therefore the same question of what would happen in the event of an issue would be relevant to that too.
