Had some time (preEaster arrangements finished!), so I used Linux AMLogic Toolkit and unpacked this firmware. Howwevr only file with dtb I got is _aml_dtb.PARTITION...

    superceleron
He needs any dtb working with H96 Pro Dongle. As there seem to be no original images, than only Your Roms can be a source of that. So he is trying to unpack this.

@SuperCeleron: I'd love to have your release on these devices as well, is there a chance you could port it there?
The PCB is blue like this: http://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showt...#entry68661572
Have you been able to recover your device? I just ordered the 2/16 from Gearbest with hopes of installing this ROM on it.

ch3mn3y thank you again for efforts buddy! This ones been puzzling me, itching to learn! I will definately try using the Linux Amlogic Tool as i havent used this before!!

superceleron yes as ch3mn3y said, for me to boot any Linux distro I would need a copy of a dtb.img file that would either come with original firmware or the firmware I am running now, I presume this ROM has a dtb.img file ?? I was wondering if possible (I know you are very busy!!) If I could have a copy of this file?... and if not (you really are too busy) then a brief description on how I could possibly extract this myself like a big boy! (I don't mind, I would like to learn! Seems useful!) Either or.... Thank you as always for your time and effort Sir!

cruzg10 this ROM works perfectly fine on a 16gb version (I am writing this now from my 16gb version running this very ROM)
There are 3 versions of this dongle:
        A. The "original" H96 Pro Dongle by AlfaWise (Amlogic S912 octocore) And....
        B. The "H2" & "H3" Dongle (Amlogic S905x quadcore)
These can be told apart EASILY from the outer case (no need to open it up to view the board)
HOW? The H2 & H3 have either H2 or H3 signed on the front just under the H96 logo.
If yours says H96 pro and no sign of H2 or H3 just under it.... Then your good to flash this rom (and you should as its great!)
But... Not the end of the world if you have the H2 or H3! There is an amazing rom developed for S905's in general (not specific to one TV box) it is called XTMOD, just google it and click the first XDA link, it supports resizable and movable free-form windows! (XHF3) and quite a few other great things too!
....almost makes me wanna get the slower S905 just to tinker with this great rom!

OH! And guys!! This little bugger gets hot under 1080p streaming or gaming... And hasn't got the strongest of WiFi signals either!
This little mod helps out a lot!!!! Better signal and running cooler! I can now play San Andreas without fear of death!!!
THE LID: A Stanley blade, some mesh & some superglue (technique = obvious!)
THE ANTENNA: a tiny length of copper wire, a tiny length of thinner wire, some wire snips and some electrical tape! .... technique =
1.Carefully peel off the black tape attaching antenna to outer lid,
This leaves a rectangle foil sticker on the end of a loose antenna wire.
2.I cut some thin wire about 6 or 7 tiny strands to make a thick wire tube (this is so the rectangle foil sticker on the end of the original antenna wire has a tube to wrap around perfectly)
Then placed just a length of electrical tape around the original rectangle foil sticker and around the copper wire tube to hold together in place.
3.I then cut a length of thicker wire, a little shorter than the original antenna wire (this is for the original antenna wire to follow & make it rigid and strong).
I thread the thick longer wire in to the centre of the copper wire tube antenna previously made,
Twisted it a little so the original antenna wire follows the thick wire snug,
          Now basically in laymans.....
It is a thick copper wire (that runs the original, thin antenna wire) that has about 6 thinner strands of wire wrapped around the top (making a copper tube) for the original, rectangle foil sticker to wrap around) then electrical taped up tight.
Took me all of half an hour! anyone could do this or better in 45 minutes!!

As far as I understand the file I uploaded (_aml_dtb.PARTITION) is the one You are looking.
(This part I'm not sure) It just has to be renamed to desired format?

Hi everyone. I could really do with some help. Could any know if this rom works with this pcb. I hate its a minefield of clones and variations when you invest in these boxes.
I tried to install this firmware.

Hi everyone. Need some help please. Does anyone know if this rom will work with this pcb. Im getting a Uboot/partition boot/initialize partition/error result in the burning tool. No brick though. I dont know if im doing it right. The device says its connected though. I hate the minefield that is chinese android box. Life is like android box, never know what you gonna get lol. I bought this stick with this rom in mind but im guessing i got the h2. :_( . It is an amlogic s912, 2/16gb though, so i'm stumped.

I wouldn't try. It's H96 Pro Mini Dongle and this is rom for H96 Pro Dongle, so it may work, but may brick it as well.

Thanks for the reply. Love/hate these android chinese boxes. Second time i got burnt. Not that is faulty can just so many clones and variations. I tried flashing last night with uboot error. Didnt brick luckily.
I wonder if superceleron could clarify if this rom works on version 2. I doubt it cause i think its a different wifi chip. It basically the same but there is four ram chips and wifi chip is different.

It may be not possible. As You wrote, there are so many clones, that he cannot test them. So he cannot say it will or won;t work, as it may work on one of them, even if it will be more different than one he tested it on, and brick the other, which could be almost exact copy of original H96 Pro Dongle...

I didnt mean there many clones of this stick but i meant in general. I've bought a few android boxes over the years. Usually always have to find a rom for it. Appreciate what these developers do in their spare time.
From what i gather theres three versions of s912. Version 1 and 2. And a version with a blue pcb(Maybe h2 i dunno).

                              16/2 HELP please !
I have the S912 2GB/16. This ROM wont boot. I really want to use it !
It flashed OK with USB burning tool. No boot.
After flashing this ROM, this ROM wont flash again, but original software flashed.
So I flashed again, no boot. Flashed original. Boot OK.
Deselected the "erase bootloader", flashed and no boot.
                              Flashed original.
Flashed this ROM with "erase flash" deselected, still no boot.
I am running original firmware , but it sucks. I want to use this. Can someone PLEASE help. What am I doing wrong?
I see some her is using it on the 16/2 version , so it cant be that.
                              please
