Firmware Stock OTA & .IMG UPDATE FIX MECOOL M8S PRO PLUS ANDROID 7.1.1 AMLOGIC S905X 2GB/16GB

I bought my Mecool from Gearbest and this is what I've got:

Samsung 710 KLM8G1WEPD-B031
BuildNO: NMF26Q 20170715.093046.V0321

Sometimes apps freeze (especialy Chrome) and get "app stopped working" massage. I don't think my chip is from this bad batch, 'cause it is eMMC 5.0.

Does anyone have the same chip and did make an update?

What is the CODE for that chip from eMMC Check if possible?
Data online says 5.0 chip - Probably OK

Try an Update using inbuilt OEM Updater and OEM FW just to check it flashes OK before any Custom ROM Installs

Ref. Crashes - Check your Chip Temp (AIDA64 ATV or Std) after some app usage (Video/YouTube/?)
I get more random crashes with the lid on - waiting to re-fix the heatsink with proper thermal glue ....

I have a affected Box. I've downloaded the full fw through Amlogic update.exe "mread" command
So after trying the ATV FW (without success) I want to go back to OEM FW.

I'm able to write all parts back successfully exept the bootloader. Here I got this failure:

The chip code is 8WPD3R.
I have been looking for OEM FW but I only found update for 2gb ram/16gb rom, and I have 1gb/8gb rom box version. Is there any difference?

Ah ! That explains it - I had forgotten about the 1GB/8GB version.

I think it is the same FW for both versions. Expert will hopefully confirm/deny !!

New boxes seem to be fine especially if with Kingston Chip (No Reset)

Unit I have came from GearBest, was ordered late September and has the bad eMMc Sec 713. So looking to order again to get a unit I could use with firmware ROMS.
