I put Modified Stock 3e Recovery on SD card.
I booted from SD card.
Rooted first before I did anything else.
If yours doesn't work maybe you have the wrong version tablet-
Download CPU-Z app. and check it. It should look something like this-
Maybe yours is not Amlogic ?

This happens with every package and the gapps.
Do I have to root the stupid thing first? I didn't think I had to since it had root in one of the packages. Any ideas?

Mine matches up almost perfectly (except for available memory of course).

something is wrong because Tajlund can't flash anything...

Ok I think my problem is even bigger. In the initial instructions shaun says to unpack the file and put it on the card. Well, when I try it that way recovery can't even see it. When I try it zipped (like I have on most rom flashes) it sees it. When I select the rom it says that it is unpacking and then installing. At that point it says that the rom isn't signed and aborts installation.
Maybe this info will help pinpoint what's going wrong.

The modified recovery doesn't get flashed, it gets installed manually, then it has to be used to flash the other packages.
To install the modified recovery, you unzip it, remove the uImage_recovery file and place the uImage_recovery file on the top level of your external sd card. Then, when you insert the external sd card and boot with power and volume- held down, the amlogic chip will automatically use the recovery on the external sd card instead of the stock internal recovery.
Then you'll be flash the kyser_root.zip or the stock rom .zip normally.
The kyser_root is for root only.
The rom is non-root if you need to return to stock for some reason.

Hope it's more stable with less bloat on it. Now if I can just get the SD card slot fixed I'll be in the good.
Thanks Shaun, you're a lifesaver.
