Second thing to look at is power! Many here will tell you about stability and other issues if you don't have good power AND the CX-919 needs it trust me!
If that doesn't do it then you may have got a bad unit.

Thank you, Bob. By the way, I love the work you're doing with the ROMS. I just started using you ROMs in the last couple of weeks, mainly in troubleshooting. I'll be donating soon.

I have a couple of cables that I have used. The kicker is that these both work with the iMito MX1 without problems. I've also tried different power supplies. I do a lot of work with different mobile devices, so I have a fair supply of good quality USB/high power supplies. I'm using two sets of supplies and cables. I just put your 1.6 on today, 1080p. The resolution may 1280X720P on the HDMI Mode, but it is actually 1920X720p. Going to 1920X1080P triggers the flashing of the display. Usually within a couple of minutes. The 1080p is not as grainy as the 720p to it is more desirable (except for the blinking).

Would you mind trying the 1920x1080P 50 or 60 on the 1080P kernel (if you haven't already) and confirm that you don't experience what I do?

I'll do a bit more testing, but it seems like this is bad and I will have to have GB swap it.

Thank you again for the help and the great ROMs.

I have tried the 1080 kernel on 2 different LG TVs. No flashing!

        Dear Spifey and Bob,

My apologize for the late reaction.

To make a dump for Finless Bob i need to root the CX919 of the device but i fail to get the device recognized by ADB.

While the CX919 is recognized as an Android ADB Interface in the device manager, the TPSparkyRoot.bat file gives me the message "Device not Found". I'm going nuts because i'm working on it for 2 days and still didn't succeed.

I'm running Windows 7 64 bit and USB debugging is enabled on the device.
RKBatchTool.exe and ROM_Flash_Tool_137.exe recognize the CX919 succesfully but ADB doesn't.

I also searched a lot of forums to find a solution for this "Device not found" message.

If someone is willing to help i can make my laptop available for Teamview_Portable and skype.

Try this one. It seems pretty straight forward to get root.

Ignore the first link of that post.
Link you need is at the bottom of the post. Should work quite easy.
Pm me your teamviewer userid and password if you still need help with it.

Martininio and spifey, I wonder if this got resolved for Martininio. I cannot get "adb devices" to list my device. But I've installed the drivers successfully. I've tried several different versions of ADB, all to no avail. I hope you found a solution and can tell me about it. Thanks very much.

To answer that yes there is a usb out to pc/laptop. Can it work? I like to have touchscreen monitor running andriod stick. Thanks!

Hey tucker973, yea it does but it isnt as easy as just plug the usb-enabled input into the cx919. I tried to do it but nothing happens. There must be some drivers or software to enable it. I am just too noob. Maybe you know how? thanks

Quick Fix when CX919 is not booting with finless 1.5 or 1.6

                    Hi all!

I found a quick fix when your CX919 is not booting after installing the finless 1.5 or 1.6 rom.

                    1. Copy the file RK3188Loader(L)_V1.20.bin from the neomode hybrid 1.7 rom to your Finless 1.5/1.6 folder.
                    Source:http://www.freak-tab.de/neomode/NHR_17_20131012.zip

                    2. In the Finless Rom Flash Tool v.1.37 choose for: Erase NAND (IDB)

                    3. Then reflash your device using the RK3188Loader(L)_V1.20.bin file instead of finless one (RK3188Loader(L)_V1.24.bin)

                    4. Now my CX919 was booting up successfully with the finless 1.5/1.6 rom.

Interesting. This means that at some point they changed the NAND memory type in the CX-919.
New loaders should support older NAND memories! But it appears 1.24 does not.
                      Good find!

                        Stick not booting up

Yesterday all of a sudden my stick stopped booting up.
It gets stuck at the boot-up screen indefinitely.

I can boot into recovery but don't have a backup image.
Is there any easy recovery mechanism before I try out loading 1.6 ROM?

                        -Thanks

Well, I did factory reset after which it booted up.
I then flashed 1.6 ROM and also installed CWM and made backup.

Everything is working fine with 1.6b ROM except the Asphalt 7 game (my son plays that game). It is not as smooth as it was on 1.5 ROM. Its a little difficult to play due to the jerky movements.

I'm not sure what to do about it? Re-install the game, re-install 1.6b or go back to 1.5.

                              Any suggestions?

This ROM was made possible by the GREAT work Sam321 and Hoabycsr have done on kernels for the CX-919! Without the team effort here, not sure I would even do another ROM using all stock from CX.

Also BIG BIG thanks to pjanderson for releasing sources on the vsync fix!

                                On with the show.

Features and release notes for my 1.5 Android 4.2.2 ROM:

                                1) Rooted and new SU and Superuser applied that supports Android 4.2.2

                                2) I give you APP space size choices!
There are also 2gb, 4gb and 6gb parameter file options.
Read below for how to change that in the flash tool.
Realize if you use this 6gb option, internal SDcard will only have about 600 megs of free space!

                                3) As always, full init.d support! If you do not know what that is... ignore it. For geeks that want to use it. It is there!

                                4) All google required APPs updated to the latest version as of this ROM build.
This includes the play store and other required Google APPs.

                                5) I enabled location services. This is now in the settings menu. Tested and working with all APPs that use it. Remember to turn off GPS as we have no GPS. I also enabled Accessibility settings.

                                6) Gameloft fix. This fixes Gameloft games from crashing to the desktop.
Many of them do not run and crash to the desktop. This is due to a license check based on the device.
Special thanks to Christian Troy for inventing this fix. I modded it for this ROM.

                                7) Build.prop edit to open up the Google Play store to APPs that normally say "not compatible".
I am spoofing a Samsung device that will show almost any APP as compatible.
Your device will show up in Google play as Samsung device not a CX-919 or RKSDK!
                                Understand this please.
I also left the original build.prop in the ROM called build.orig.
If you want to go back, just use ES FIle Explorer or a root file explorer and rename build.prop to build.old
                                Then rename build.orig to build.prop.
Go into settings, apps, all and go into the Google Play app. Clear the cache and data.
Reboot! You should be back to showing up as a CX-919.

                                8) Kernel choices including all 6 frame skipping FIX kernels! These work well!
Special thanks to Freaktab user Sam321 and Hoabycsr!
I also give you the stock latest kernels but these still have the frame skipping issue!
They are supplied for people that want to use them anyway.
                                Kernels:
                                Stock 720
                                Stock 1080
Sam321 No Overclock 720 frame skip fix
Sam321 No Overclock 1080 frame skip fix
Hoabycsr No Overclock (400mhz) 720 frame skip fix
Hoabycsr No Overclock (400mhz) 1080 frame skip fix
Hoabycsr Overclocked (800mhz) 720 frame skip fix
Hoabycsr Overclocked (800mhz) 1080 frame skip fix
I set the flash tool to use Sam321 No Overclock 720 kernel.

                                9) I also supply the needed 720 and 1080 boot.img's. By default the flash tool is set to boot720.img

                                10) New power button on status bar functionality!
If you click the power button on the status bar once, it puts the CX-919 to sleep mode. Moving the mouse wakes it up.
If you HOLD the mouse button down on the power button you will get a pop up dialog with 3 buttons:
                                Sleep, power off, reboot.
Sleep - This works like above.
Power off - This works but note the LED is still on as there is still power applied.
                                Reboot

                                10) I added a reboot APP that will allow optional reboot options like reboot to bootloader (flash mode).

For more information ALWAYS read the README in the ROM kit!

Bob.. Would you be interested in helping us with a customized Rom for CX-919.. we want to create one version in standard 720P mode and one in Portrait mode using 720P with the following updates. There might be a few other things but we would love your help or advice. We would be glad to donate to the cause.. I guess my developer used one of your Rooted Roms for the CX919 and we are having minor complications at the moment. Anyways.. feel free to email me or just responD on blog.. my email is [email protected]
                                - Change default background and boot animation (we can provide graphics)
                                - Remove any apps we don't want.
