When I flash my CX-919 with this rom the device does not boot ( or has no HDMI output) Black screen.

Flashed to stock firmware and the device works fine again. Tried it over and over again, redownloaded the Finless ROM. Same result. Weird!

Who knows a solution for this?

      Dodgy streaming

I really hoped the cx-919 could make me get rid of my ACRyan POHD2 to stream series from my computer. My pc is hardwired in same workgroup as wireless android stick. However: If I stream series in 720p from my computer to my stick, the audio is OK but the video is not smooth. Does someone know if this will get better when I have it hardwired via USB-RJ45 connector?

Another thing: Is there a screensaver function on it? Or will the screen just always stay on?

      Cheers,

      Lennart

Hey Bob, thanks for the great ROM! I had some trouble installing it at first, my computer wouldn't ding and recognize the device. Ended up using the usb cable that came with my Samsung S4 and it installed flawlessly. The CX is my fourth android stick. I have two MK802's (a IIIs and IV) that are okay, and a MX-1 that was my go-to stick. I use these mainly for streaming, netflix, a little retro gaming and the MX-1 running Finless 1.7 never let me down. This CX with 1.5 and the 720 800mhz kernel is the best android stick I've ever used. The video playback is rock solid, no stuttering. Everything seems to be working in top notch order. Great work!

            Sleep, Reboot and Power Off

Thanks for this great ROM Bob, I got it running for my friend and he's now learning the TV stick world.

Does the reboot app on the CX-919 1.5 ROM function properly for you? With the stock power options I get Sleep, Power Off, and Reboot ----> Reboot (i.e. all options reboot the stick).

With the Reboot App, Power Off button reboots sometimes and powers off other times. Is this normal?

With the sleep option on the stock Android bar, I think it sleeps for 1 second and then my remote wakes it up immediately. Might need a minimum sleep time to put remote down?

I'm hoping to have a sleep and power off option without physically switching/unplugging the stick. If this has been covered elsewhere, please provide a link as I couldn't find the answer.

            Thanks,

            Mike

Hi. I have the exact same problem, except my device won't boot at all. Have tried every kernel... even the stock ones. I have even tried the 4.1.1 roms... still a black screen.

I have done everything the Readme says... and now it wont boot (HDMI - No signal).

This is my first time doing this (have rooted cellphones earlier, but no TV-sticks). HELP

                  Hi !

I'm just the owner of a cx-919 who discovered this web and just registered today to say 2 things:

                  - THANKS for this ROM, it works and ...
                  - ... is there any kernel with the joydev.ko module compiled and included ? I have an "old fashioned" USB wired gamepad which I would like to test.

If anybody could send me a link with the sources for the kernel used, the .config file, and (I'm afraid that I would need) the way to get/build/set the toolchain to compile the kernel, I could try to make it by myself.

                  THANKS !!!

                      No found RKAndroid rock usb

I keep getting the error "No found RKAndroid rock usb". I have followed the instructions in the read me. I inactivated USB debugging and checked the "PC connection in the settings of the stick. I also want to know whether the android stick has to be connected to the TV while I am going through this process.

I have the Jesurun CX-919 Android stick. The stock software is bad in my opinion. For the starters, I can't get rid of the bottom bar which really sucks the fun out of watching movies on this.

Additionally, my stick has an external power adapter. Should I keep it powered on while doing this?

And from the instructions, I can't understand when I can release the button on my Android stick.

The "connect to PC" option is unchecked by default. Everytime I reboot the device, it is unchecked. As a result, I can't follow your instructions without keeping the device on the TV and when attached to the TV, the button just opens GOOGLE NOW. Nothing else happens.

I guess so but why not use Rootkeeper so you can hide your root for certain services https://play.google.com/store/apps/d....otarootkeeper

                              Baclkscreen issue -- some findings

I have a CX-919 with the updated wifi chipset (AP6210).

Using Finless 1.5 ROM package with default options, the device will not run normally: blackscreen, no HDMI output.

Same result using the simon kernels.

BUT it works fine using the IJH kernels.

Hope that info proves useful to some other blackscreen sufferers!

                              Other details:
                              - Seems to run too hot with the 720p 800Mhz and crashes after a awhile, but stable with 720p 400MHz.
                              - Wifi performance is as good as stock (getting close to 30Mbps when over 20m and one floor up from the router, but then I have a high-end ASUS RT-N66U router).

                              Cheers,
                              /R

                                AW: NEW - CX919 - 4.2.2 - Finless ROM 1.5

Bob, you should mention in first post that this should not be flashed to the tronsmart cx-919, i just did that accidently to a friends device which did not display anything tholrough HDMI then. I could recover following an other thread, but it wouldn't have happened if it was menitioned i first post.
