OK i found it but after hitting switch what? What are the steps? The instructions are for the other tool.

Have both apps running. After you click "switch" just click over to the Flash Tool and proceed according to the instructions.

i think that everything gone ok but in the readme you mention

"Once you flash the ROM it will immediately boot into CWM Recovery by Fun. You get error messages at the bottom saying Invalid Command Arguement...etc...so just ignore that.

By swipeing the screen up and down, move through the CWM menu and select "wipe cache partition" and press the power button. Swipe down to confirm "Yes - Wipe Cache" and press the power button."

and i didn't see any of these. is it ok? also you said something about the internal memory and formatting it but i went to storage and i see it ok: internal storage 1,97 total and nand flash 12.62 total and if i turn usb on i can see the storage on my computer.

        you think everything is ok?

On this particular ROM the default is stock recovery.

If you wish to use CWM...you must select it in the flash tool. It is a file named cwmrecovery.img in the RileyROM folder..

If you want to flash it instead, just uncheck everything except recovery, and flash without erasing IDB.

CWM doesn't always work with some tablets due to difficulty controlling it. If the touch screen won't work, you need to use the external keys to control it. If there aren't any external keys...then you can't use CWM.

That's why I make the default to stock recovery and let the user experiment with CWM as an option.

oh ok. so i guess i am ok then. tomorrow i'll try 1.4. I want to do some testing with titanium backup/restore first because i want to organize my ebooks and not lose all the work every time i want to flash a new rom. first try was not successful because i managed to restore the app but my collections were gone.

thank you very much for all the help.

Be sure to remove your sd card with the tablet off before flashing. Sometimes it gets erased.

i saw this in your instructions but i don't have an sd card for the time being. it's only the tablets internal storage. i'll find a way.
