Latest Alfawise H96 Pro+ Android 7 stuck on Mobox screen

Recovery is booted before software. And on Amlogic it can be booted from image placed on SDcard.

1. Download this: https://mega.nz/#!Ji4iEAjI!5iCbS2F9J...cO6-MWb1b-z90I and copy it to SD.
2. Put SD into slot.
3. Disconnect power cord.
4. Start pushing reset with pin.
5. Connect power.
6. Keep pushing for 5 seconds or till You see TWRP logo.

However it probably won't help with that kind of problem. As it doesn't seem to be problem with some app or file...

Well, tried it, didn't work, won't even boot into recovery just goes to superceleron splash screen and crashes.
Had enough, sending it back to China tomorrow and asking for a refund, these china boxes are just not worth it, just gonna order Shield TV instead.

Well there is already to many "versions" of this box out there, that is why im more and more reluctant in rls SCV8 and if i will rls it will be my last one for this box"es"!

Well this one is apparently alfawise of Gearbest, which suppose was supposed to be the good one, plus on gearbest I couldn't find a single negative review, should've looked around a bit more.
Sadly didn't even get a chance to try your rom.

On a side not anyone got any experience with RMA's to Gearbest, I wonder if I should flash back the stock ROM before RMA just to be safe

This is a valuable learning experience for anyone. My take away from all this is:

1. buy locally and from a store that can help you with warranty issues
2. if it's complicated to get something to function properly it's not worth it
3. pay always by credit card
4. only buy brand name android boxes such as EVPAD and HTV5 which are also premium boxes otherwise go for something simple like a Firestick from Amazon
5. too many bots are leaving positive reviews of Android boxes
6. instructions to flash firmware in this forum are either unclear, incomplete or inaccurate.

I have returned the box back to Gearbest. The cover was very difficult to reassemble the case but I requested a full refund.

I have filed a dispute with my credit card company in the event GB does not refund me the purchase price.

In future, it would be helpful for Android box buyers if this forum had a thread/sticky where recommendations are posted on the best boxes available.

If You don't open the Box, and don;t check it's variant, than You may brick it.

SoC is system-on-chip and it contains the most important parts of device - CPU, GPU, sometimes modem, etc.

It's just old. When it was wrote, SCV2/SCV3 were latest versions. When it says about SCV2 You have to use SCV4 (or SCV1 when ATV rom), and when there is SCV3 use SCV7A (or SCV4A for ATV).

I just came across a post elsewhere by accident and I thought about this box. Some people report installing Superuser causing a bootloop issue. If so, is there any way of recovering from it?

I have upgraded my tv box H96pro + with firmware aml_7.1.2_s912_q9377-S912_LP_mac-20180409.img and now I look at the settings and the device status is missing the serial number and the bluetooth address. I attach a photo. Whom did that happen?
