Also, as i said before, ScreenInfo app, why does it say that height is 840? Again, im on Nexus 1.2 which i flashed directly with the 1080p Kernel.

Two task bars? The normal app resolution with just the bottom bar active is 1920x1008.

You need to delete ro.sf.lcd.density line from build.prop

For this tweak install System tuner from app store and in this app find build and edit it, or go to system/build.prop and find stuff about density.
For me is enough 160 but your choice

Let me just say this after messing with a new kernel for the MK908ii.

This setting in build.prop has a HUGE influence and ignore or uses LCD Density setting.

Lewy, this resolution thing is a fake in my opinion. A 1080 kernel and messing with some settings can perform like a 720 kernel and it's a lie! My opinion only.

Antutu can be fooled even when it says 1920x1080!

Great work , a kernel switching by a press of a button , now that's what i was talking about
I really wish that rom devs adapt this concept in all roms , it will get our tv sticks to a whole
New level and end this resolution thing once and for all.

Currently i do it manually by cwm recovery , but your way is much easier , i really hope that

OK interesting. How are you doing this? A simple DD script and reboot?

a simple app wich is fireing up a script with "if" and "else" parameters pointing to 2 other scripts.
one copy build.prop for 720p flash the kernel.img and boot.img then busybox touch file you can use any
i used .720p
if there is no .720p file the 1080p kernel and other files will be flashed if it is there then script remove it and flash 720p files.
easy as that

Did you use the flash_image binary to flash from the stick?
This file can be used to dump images too.
Actually I use it a lot to flash from the stick. Is a great tool

If you rename it to dump_image with the same syntax it dumps the partition
dump_image "partition" /folder/file.img

very useful to use with abd from recovery, I take it from androtab, so thanks to fun_ from here.
