The Qintaix firmware is the same 2017.06.12 firmware that came with my r99 with ethernet & resolution issues. Only the vorke z3 firmware(i think it was anyway) kept ethernet & held 4k resolution but upon rebooting lost sound & all playback froze.

Hi all

Does anybody know how I can connect a cooling fan (mounted on my own jury rigged heat sink) so that it will turn off when I turn of the MeCool VS RK3399? If I can also control the revs of the fan based on temperature, so much the better. Using the 42 pin connector perhaps?

I bought the MeCool VS RK3399 from Aliexpress in March. It arrived in South Africa with no heatsink fitted. The IR Remote was also not supplied. Does anybody know where I can get hold of the correct MeCool IR Remote on its own?

hello could anyone provide me with the original firmware, i accidently updated supersu and am stuck in bootloop. have searched everywhere on the internet but can not find it. This is the best tv box i have ever owned, the only flaw is the supersu update a major software mistake by the manufactures if you ask me. Hoping someone some where has the img file.

i made firmware to rk3399 tested with MECOOL-VS-RK3399 i expanded firmware Yundoo_Y8_SCV1-7.1.2 and cloud rk3399_zw_new_all_Sound171121 and tested after i found the right files to cobine and flashed with AndroidTool v2.38 so i got a firmware full rooted network working display with al resolution you can test it this firmware with other rk3399 like CSA96 rk3399 i think MECOOL-VS-RK3399 is the best RK3399 tvbox you can instal SuperSU Pro no boot loop problem.

I received my Mecool last week and it comes with a failed ROM loaded so it doesn't boot.
After flashed the rom from megaupload link android recognized as Dogee Mix !!?? And after hard reset says Xiaomi Mix !!!???

System works but with lag, when I turn off after some time it switched on again, Antutu give me around 50.000 and i know Mecool can do it very much bether.

I also tried to download the ROM from here

But I can't download this ROM from baidoo because living in Spain so can't create an account.

So please somebody would be so kind and help me reuploading the ROM.

I'm using this ROM which you mention but isn't working well for me.
Some question:
Did your Bluetooth work?

Which model is recognized in android setting?

When you switch off the box with the remote control or power button on the box, will the box power down?
(mine keepk with blue led lighted and after some time powers on again)

Bluetooth only works when Wi-Fi is turned on.
I also have a MIX (in the early 2017, the firmware was introduced as Doogee) In the file build. prop there are records vendor Xiaomi model MIX
Remote control only turns off the screen. The box does not turn off programmatically, it only reboots

Rom Flashed and now my Mecool fly, no lag, Antutu 114000 ! WOW !!
it's true Wi-Fi doesn't work but I use it with lan network.
Only issue remote control useless the bottoms from remote control don't match any function.

It's sad that we can't turn off the box, really don't understand why it isn't implemented.
