let us know how is running 2dark and what setting you are using for cpu ?

btw if some other french ppl try to use this rom maybe they can test too with "SFRTV apk".

i cant say that, i only said im using my mk808 on main goal to watch all my tv channel with the apk of my net provider.

Before, i was under lewy and 2dark and after a while i had always the same fast speed reading streaming problem.

then i tried the first batch of this rom (august) with finless kernell, and no more issue.

i tried the second batch of this rom (september) and cause i had time, i tried all kind of kernel except the kisz v4.

And like i said, i had the same issue as before by trying to watch direct tv with my apk with some kernel; i had reboot with some other and complete bug with kizs v4.1.

Maybe those kernels are working if you dont use this apk; i dont know. Each one must test.

But on my own the first batch is really stable; with really good wifi and 12250 at antutu.

btw installed with cwm with wipe data; wipe partition and wipe cache at first.

Maybe some could test and perform with differents kernel

I want to flash this with 2dark4u 1.4 on my Mk808. So for you is not working well?
Can you tell me if the version of august work with 2dark kernel?

After flash did you do a factory reset....many times is reccomended to hard reset after flashing a new rom.

tested this one with 4 differents 720 kernel:

with finless, 2dark, omegamoon the mk808 is working right, but has some issues more or less important ( stream apk for my direct tv is running many time at fast speed; the stick hang, or reboot). I have to say my mk808 is modder with copper rad for amd 64x2 on both side without fan.

with kisz 4.1 the mk808 stands blocked on bootanim minix ( maybe kisz v4 is good)

back to the rom of august, no more issue with finless kernel. I tested with gta III for 1 hour and no temp pbm or reboot and so on.

The rom will work.
Follow the instructions for Other devices(MK808 & Clones) from the OP and flash a mediatek kernel from bob's rom or extract it from a stock rom to get wifi working.

I presume will work, if finless has a 8Mb limit.
Finless 1.7 works flawsly with 2dark4u 1.4.

I am curios about benchmark, if with a normal kernel can reach 12500, with 2dark4u kernel should go over 13000

I just realise that 2dark4u 1.4 is 11Mb size. It will work? ...i was hopping to use this kernel(it has oc cpu,gpu).

If not, i don.t know what kernel may work?

Edit: it was 1080 kernel, the 720 seems to be compressed at 4.11 Mb

I looked at kernel_MK808_720_GPU433_1416_RAM1160_VZ.zip and it's about 4mb, so it should work.
I know finless roms have a limit of +-8mb for kernels , anything bigger without modifying the parameter file will make your device unbootable. I can't seem to find the limit for this rom since it's a CWM and not a normal *.img rom.

To calculate the maximum size of kernel, you take number next to kernel in RKFlashTool(also displayed in parameter file) in eg MK808 Finless Rom 1.7(4000 is the number). Type into Windows calculater as a hex number, click on decimal then * 512 /1024/1024 = size in megabytes.

Yes, default language is english.
Don't remember how big the parameter file size for the kernel is, but flashing any 3.0.8 kernel that is less than 9mb should work. You can get this kernel from MK808 FinlessBob Rom 1.7, not the v2.0 one as that is a 3.0.36 kernel. 2Dark4u kernel might also work.

Try the rom, it's the fastest and most updated at the moment. Flash first with CWM, then flash only mk808 kernel with RKFlashTool 1.37.

I think it's going to be a while until lewy releases the rom since everyone is only testing RK3188 devices right now including the 3.0.72 kernel. I've also sent him messages and not received a reply.

When the 3.0.72 kernel gets tested with RK3066 devices and gets overclocked it will help a lot.

Good ROM but unfortunately not perfect yet

I used this ROM for a while and most of it works fine, although I had to make some changes. I used a compressed TAR archive (.tgz) to save the XBMC userdata but couldn't restore it because the busybox version on the ROM did not support it, I replaced busybox with a new version from the official busybox site.

The XBMC hw acceleration test version from February 19, 2013 ran fine. I do not use the current Gotham nightlies because a lot off add ons like youtube and icefilms give python script errors and do not work (if others do not have this it could be my regional settings, I have not found a solution yet).

The only application which broke was an app from the dutch plublic broadcasting organisation (NOS), an app to view past transmissions. This is a video streaming service. It only plays with a lot of hickups making it unwatchable. Changing the kernel to Finless 1.7 did not help. Changing the ROM back to Finless 1.7 solved the problem, this is a dealbreaker for this ROM for me.

About the Antutu score, I now have 12000+ points in Finless 1.7 too; either Antutu changed the calculation or installing your ROM inbetween also made some permanent change. (My Finless 1.7 is patched using a newer libstagefright.so library).

P.S. I am using an MK808B stick and WiFi. If the streaming problem and busybox is fixed, this is a better and nicer looking ROM IMHO.
