Epic Citadel with 32fps on this rom with included kernel
Just to share a benchmark: my MK808B (original) running this rom exactly as it is (ie. with included kernel, not overclocked) shows a benchmark of 32fps on Epic Citadel. Antutu score is "only" around 12000.
I am still using the original 2a power adapter, but have a powered usb hub connected as well.

keyboard issue
as reported earlier, this om is having some issues with the keyboard, with the ENTERkey not usable in the address bar of the stock rowser. now I am happy share a way I found to solve this. Since I often need Japanese input, I just installed the GOOGLE JAPANESE INPUT App. Now I can finally use my keyboard accodring to its lables, but furthermore, this also SOLVE the issue with the enter key for me. So if you want to try it out, maybe you find some other custome keyboard to enable the enter key in the browser's address bar again. Good luck!

If you are sure that the 5V 2amp charger is actually giving 2amps then I can suggest two things to try if you want to try and troubleshoot?
1) Connect another PSU to the OTG port and Dual power the device. You can use pretty much any charger like a 500ma phone charger. See if that improves score.
2) Use something like SetCPU to lower the CPU down to around 800mhz. If your benchmark improves then it has to be power issues.
Thank you so much for trying so hard to help me. I tried what you told me, but neither connecting another charger to the OTG port, nor lowering the CPU did any change. Antutu Score was always the same, at 11541 (today) . For lowering the CPU I used Antutu Master(available for free at the store).
Now, I am running the mk808b with a connected USB mouse and keyboard, and a 32GB MicroSD card (NTFS). But this is of no effect to performance, I already tried the benchmark without keyboard or SD, still no difference.
In all possible combinations I tried so far (also on Finless 2.1) I always get an average of 7FPS on Epic Citadel. >< Well, can't be helped, I guess. Well, at least my Scumm, SNES, Genesis and PSX run smoothly, so maybe I can't complain. Mainly, I just wanted to UNDERSTAND.

Man, do I feel stupid, this is really embarrassing.
Still, the problem remains. I switched to a 5V, 2A charger that works without crashes, but delivers low FPS on CITADEL. I could look if I can find a stronger charger, but I'm afraid my mk808b might overheat. (I'm sorry, as you can easily guess from my earlier fail, I'm not all that familliar with the whole electronics department... >< )
Well, anyway, everything I use it for, seems to work fine, so I won't complain anymore until I run into some real issues.
Thank you all guys - and sorry again.

They require 1amp minimum - 2amps if you intend to connect usb devices with.
This is why you benchmark ok for Antutu, as it will test CPU, RAM individually - when using Epic Citadel however, it tests everything at the same time and 500ma simply can't supply enough power to all the parts needed.
Would also explain why retro emulation is working, as that hardly uses the CPU and won't use the GPU.
Make sure you buy a 'branded' 2amp power supply, if you buy a generic one there is no way to be sure it is genuinely 2amps. You can buy a higher amp PSU if desired, but the mk808 won't take anymore power than needed and nobody's is close to hitting 2amps.
Congratulations though on getting it to boot with 500ma, either a very good power supply or device you have.
Edit: 2v????? wow what on earth is going on... seriously...

I tested this rom without (29 fps) and with overclocked (kizs v4) kernel (36 fps).
But so far, nothing compares to digitop walkman 2.1 with a epic citadel score of 39 fps on stock kernel and 50 fps on kizs v4 kernel.
I mainly use it for watching movies (mp4 won't work for me anymore though) and for nostalgic games (ScummVM and Retroarch), and it's totally ok for that. Still I'm curious reading about other users scores, wondering what I might be doing wrong. So if anybody has another idea, I'd me grateful. I also realized a few settings (developer settings) regarding GPU and whatnot, but I'm not quite sure what to make of it. Could anybody describe what settings should be applied in the general settings?
One more question: While following this forum, everybody keeps talking about flashing different kernels after applying this or that rom. I have to admit, I'm quite the noob here, but can I just use the Finless Flash Tool and load and flash the new Kernel.img there? Or do i always have to reflash everything? And what about installed apps? Are they gone after that?
