http://www.multiupload.nl/L2LWQ0N3GC - can only flash with Windows or replace the kernel into the rom zip file after renaming it to kernel.img.

Does your wifi have a strong signal?
Also don't plug any wifi dongles into the full usb port of your device as it causes interference with wifi.
Also change your router's wifi channel higher than 10, maybe 11 or 12 and change security to WPA-PSK & TKIP+AES.

    What device do you have?
Maybe you have a clone that's compatible with different wifi.
I got the mk808b from geekbuying. The reception is quite strong the router I have is asus ac66u.

I'll try the method you suggested by replacing the kernel in a zip. Can you specifically recommend which kernel from the bunch?

Also, not on topic...but would you know how to get all streams working in sportsdevil via xbmc?

    Many thanks!

Just to confirm, it works just as good on the MX1 as on my mk808b
Only handicap is the identical MAC (network problems if they share the same network) and no CWM (I hope this can be fixed)

    UPDATE
There is one quirk after all, on reboot (or shutdown and power on) the Minix XBMC will not start. I have to reinstall it to get it working (no XBMC settings lost tho - thanks god)

Don't mind that at all tho

I can upload files that you can copy over to your MX1 to try to get wifi working. It works for other devices but not sure about MX1 as even Finless Bob said he had trouble with wifi when porting his MK808 rom over to the MX1.

Got soft reboot on signing in to playstore and once it started to update apps it froze
Also the MAC is identical to the mk808b so they don't play nice on the same network.

How did you get internet working with no wifi, did you use ethernet?

    Yes, used ethernet

    UPDATE 2
Looks like I spoke too soon
Getting spontaneous reboots and permanent lockups when trying to download anything from playstore.
Wanted to flash the image file you uploaded but can't extract it from the compressed format, will try to re-download.

Do you only get problems with Play Store or are other apps also not working?
To extract the file you need 7z(Zzip).

    Found out the hard way

    UPDATE 3
Flashed the image file and it wouldn't finish booting
Booted, Playstore, WIFI,BT, all working well
Max CPU can be set only to 1400
    will test XBMC performance later
Only missing thing for now is CWM

Sorry max CPU is only 1.4 Ghz, same as stock kernel, as I can't overclock it, different format than normal kernels. To overclock it you need to change code in the overclock tool, which I don't know how.

No problem, hope it will be enough power

    UPDATE 4

Minix XBMC started then closed and now refuses to start

You can go to Settings on Android, then apps and search for MiniX XBMC and clear it's cache and data. It will then recreate it's data and will hopefully start.
Or reinstall it from here, after downloading - http://flumpster.lolcakes.com/androi...ETA2_Test1.apk

Clearing ddidn't help but reinstall did
Unfortunately it has to be reinstalled on every reboot
Any idea how to fix that?

Now if I can get CWM installed to make backup that would be awesome....

I had to use a different tool to unpack this firmware, since Rikomagic changed the firmware from the standard firmware format. So I'm not certain if this firmware will work or even boot.
To uninstall apps since they are all system apps and not user apps use - https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...ager.systemapp
Sorry no overclocked kernel, kernel is different than standard kernels and won't overclock unless you modify the overclock tool which I don't know how.

    ------------------------------------------------------
To install CWM(to flash digitop 3.5.5 XBMC Edition rom)

The easiest way is to download Finless 1.7 rom

Here is also 2 CWM Recoveries you can try to flash, if one doesn't work try the other
MediaFire is a simple to use free service that lets you put all your photos, documents, music, and video in a single place so you can access them anywhere and share them everywhere.

Unzip it completely and copy the Recovery.img to the FinlessRom folder from Finless 1.7 rom above, overwriting the stock Recovery.img.

Select all the boxes in the Finless flash tool except system.img.
    IDB erase/format your device
    Flash your device

When you plug the device into the TV, you should boot to CWM.

Now you can try my rom and see if it works
    http://www.mediafire.com/download/02ee2d8m1g002on
    /MK808B_digitopMod_v3.5.5%20XBMC%20Edition.zip

(Copy the zip file beforehand to a microsd card and insert it into your device, after replacing the kernel.img file in the zip with the one in Finless 1.7 rom above)
If wifi still doesn't work I can think of something else to get wifi working.

If these roms work I will also post it in the Imito thread to help other people.
    Thanks!
Downloading now, will report back soon

I did change the developer's settings to 0.5x animations and force GPU 2D graphics.

I also ran Pimpmyrom and tweak netwrok for better Streaming and DNS speeds.

My screen resolution is set on 720p/60Hz.

But I did not run Android Tuner, may be I will try it later.

I am quite happy with the current Sep ROM, I watch mostly Internet streaming contenets, network speed would be the paramount for me, as I don't really access any 1080p contenets.

I get an Antutu score of 12702 with this rom.

Unfortunately on my MK808B, it does not appear to run as smooth as the previous MK808B_digitopMod_MINIX_NEO-G4_port (0730) _Sep2013, basic command responses (keyboard and mouse) are somewhat laggy, and network throughput also seem slower.

With the previous ROM, the Antutu score was >12,000, however I run Antutu with this ROM, first time score was <11,000 and the 2nd time it was <10,000.

I have now returned to the Sep ROM.

Remember to change animations to 0.5s in developer settings and enable GPU for 2D rendering
Also run Pimpmyrom for some extra usefull network & speed tweaks.
There is also an enable/disable Vsync setting in Pimpmyrom, but don't know if it works.

    For MK808 devices
Just replace the kernel in the zip file with an overclocked MK808 3.0.8 kernel from here - http://www.multiupload.nl/L2LWQ0N3GC
Remember to rename the kernel to kernel.img before replacing it in the rom's zip file.
