I'm using 720p kernel with 1800/600/720.. Changed display settings to 720p instead of upscaled 1080p, and using MeLe F10 Pro remote. No shutdowns or reboots, but I did get a shutdown once when I used the MeLe remote with headphones and audio output via the remote.

That said, I've set the audio output back to HDMI and so far no shutdowns.. and I plugged the unit to an older LCD TV with slower refresh rates.. the juddering isn't so obvious. I guess this is my temporary fix for now. Using a fast refreshing LED TV only makes the juddering clearer to the eyes..

I'm using the same kernel on two X7s, one with the F10 and one with F10 pro. Both units experience sporadic shutdowns, always while using the remotes, in or out of applications. Never happens when the mouse is idle.

Actually, a shutdown occured today while doing a backup with Titanium backup, without any mouse activity..
So it happens across units and ROMs. Minix needs to get a grip on this one. The sooner the better.

Have you tried with a wired mouse? That's how I figured out that my airmouse was the problem. (TSM-01)

Ok guys, this become interesting...they are few that experience sporadic shutdowns and others don't. I personally had only shutdowns(with an wired mouse) and a 5v5a power supply, and i tried all kernels.

So remains one question....if our units are first stock that factory produce?....maybe is an hardware issue that only first stock had.

So next time we can share the purchase date....just to eliminate factory error.

My unit is solid. I am using a wireless mouse, not the A2, just a regular Measy fly mouse. The first mouse I had was bad, I returned it and got this one. My unit has been running for more than 1 week 24/7, using XBMC heavily. I only ran into any problem when I exited XBMC... so I don't do that anymore, no need.

But no crashes... running solid 1080p smooth as you please. I am pretty sure my unit was a 2nd batch unit. Whatever that's worth.

So far I had 2 shutdowns.. Like I've mentioned, once when I tried using the audio via the airmouse, and the other was while trying to watch a movie via the Netflix app. The movie loaded fine but approximately a minute into the movie, if just froze and shutdown.

I have also had zero shutdowns, ran original firmware (004) for a couple days, updated to 005, now currently using Finless 1.6 (1704/600/720). Also pretty sure unit is a 2nd batch unit.

A2 mouse works with no problems after adding a 12 inch usb extension cable, with the dongle connected straight to the unit it would become very laggy and at times unresponsive.

My first unit arrived September 20th with the 004 ROM. The 2nd unit arrived 1st week of October with 005 ROM. Both now with Finless 1.6 and 720 1800/600/720.

Whats problem with portable this firmware to Minix X7 mini? Both devices have same CPU, RAM amount, etc. But after install on Mini version, after format partition only black screen and no signal after reboot. I have mini version and have very slow 1080 videos on stock firmware. Any ideas?
                          Thank you

Unfortunately, the mini is pretty different from the standard ones in terms of the board itself. The reason I bought the X7 was because my X5mini received less attention, and there are no custom ROMs available for it as of yet. It's frustrating, I know..

I was going to play it safe and start with,

                              kernel_phja_720_vsfsam.img
                              boot720no-air.img

In the package there is another boot img...when would you use the " boot-stock.img "?

ok so i tried flashing both 720 and 1080 versions of the rom with 1800/600/720 and 1704/600/720 kernels and it does boot but it get some weird lines and then the unit shuts off. what gives?

                                this...

then a few seconds later i get this and a shutdown.
