but when i tried it with 3 other hdmi cables i got from monoprice that screen up top and shutdown is what happens. anyone else care to chime in on this?

test it out when you get your box and report back.

Yes, I have had similar problems with HDMI cable... in my case, the problem was that some HDMI cables do not fit well into the socket of the x7. The socket seems to be recessed more than usual, so HDMI cables with a short plug make random contact. With cable that has a longer plug, all is well.

            Stable as a rock

Running 1080p/1080p 1800-600-800 kernel from intro. Hardware is neo X7 + neo A2 flymouse on Gb wired network. Output 50Hz through HDMI to Harman Kardon AVR255. Software Mediahouse + MX player running from Qnap nas.

Total solution stable as a rock. Playing full HD completely smooth with subtitles and 5.1 audio. This includes full HD film from Canon 550D camera (pritty high bps rate)

              Hello guys,

any way to play 1080p files from network? Flashed this awesome rom straight out of the box, but I'm having trouble playing 1080p files. MXplayer with codeks installed plays 1080p from internal storage just fine, but from my PC's shared folder with X7 wifi (good signals) I get constant buffering. 720p stuff seems to work just fine. Same 1080p .mkv files works just fine with my Raspberry PI @ RaspBMC @ Wifi..

I'm also having really hard time with XBMC.. With every installation the video is just stuttering veeery badly. Nightly versions doesn't even start (instant crash).

              Advice @ 1080p @ wifi needed!

              Thanks

Have you tested what speed you get over wifi? I bet it is too slow for your high bitrate movies, i have around 12Mbit/s and if your video has higher bitrate it will stutter.

                  Hello,

I get around ~12Mbit/s with my X7. However I get ~28Mbit/s with my Galaxy Note 2 and 1080p files plays just fine. I can also play same files with my Raspberry over wifi with no problem. It has ~10 dollar wifi plugged in. I can't believe that X7 wifi performance is this poor..?

Edit: tried with cable - all works fine. Only XBMC stuttering like hell.

                      Hello guys,

I just received my Neo X7 yesterday, first think I did was to flash Finless 1.6 rom
                      I flashed cpu 1800, gpu 600, ddr 720 kernel.

Video playing over the network works almost perfectly. Tried Hobbit and Avatar 1080p mkv movies and several 720p movies. Didn't have any problem with playing when connected via lan or wifi.
With wifi I get ~28 mbit/s transfer rate when copying files to X7. I have Asus RT-N66U router.

Some of the problems with wifi in tv sticks and box are related about router, please try other chanels and other autentification ways.

Sorry but I can't answer this, because I don't use xbmc. Lewy and others are more expertise in it.
