S7 reinstall android/rom?

I think I read somewhere on another post that these tablets have issues connecting with WEP encryption. My home is WEP, but I went to Culvers to check the WIFI and still a no go and theirs is an open network. Still totally confused. I'm sorry I can't help much with your rooting, but I appreciate your replies. THANKS.

Ill confirm it's a WEP network I was trying to connect to. That's good info. I'll see if there is a correlation and see of I can fix it.

WEP ISSUE

I just returned from my mom's house and tried a different network but her's is also a WEP connection and still a nogo. Maybe it's fixed and now it's a issue with how it connects to WEP's. My neighbors internets show up on the tablet and their's are not WEP's, maybe I can get one of them to help me out with a password so I can see if it works. I also read in that post you can try to delete a file in the data folder and it should connect but I don't have that file in mine to try.(com.------wep). THANKS

Not yet but we are working on it. The tablet can be rooted but not from a rooted ROM.

WIFI WORKS

I just wanted to let you know how I got the WIFI to work, I dialed into my router and turned off my WEP security and the tablet connected then I turned the WEP security back on and I lost my connection even after I entered the key. This tablet definatley has a WEP connection issue. I think everything else is OK with this tablet, so I'll give this back to him and I'll be watching for your rooted S7 rom. THANKS for all your help.

so I bought two of the S7 tablets for my boys for Christmas and I am very disappointed with the touch screen responsiveness. so much so that I am considering taking them back and sucking up the money for a nexus 7. That would be another hundred fifty dollars each so I'd really like to avoid that if at all possible. so when you guys get the ROM workingfor the S7 will it have any impact on touch screen responsiveness? Or is it just a hardware issue that one would have to deal with?

Yeah. The touch response is bad and hopefully with root we can get the tablet to respond better.

I also upgraded to get Google Store, but the upgrade completely removed root and developer options under settings!!! A moded version of the SouthernTelcom ROM w/ Google Store for AS7 w/ root and su privileges would be an awesome thing, indeed.

My appologies for cross posting, but this appears to be the only forum on the interwebs with ANY help for Polaroid AS7/4.2.2JB. Any and all help is deeply appreciated! Thank you in advance.
