Can anyone implement the "auto hide systembar" feature from other Finless roms?
I have a V3 and this rom and http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...MK908-V3/page2 is the only ones that work for me, but they don't have it implemented..

You could make a Frankenstein rom with finless and stock kernel from this firmware.

as far as i know, Finless hasen't released a rom for this device with the feature, and i'm not smart enough to port it from other roms, since i know nothing of programming

EDIT: just flashed MK908-android.4.2.2.jjhmod.v2.2.universal
with kernel from repacked finless...
seems to work so far, but wifi drops now and then

hey folks ! i just downloaded and flashed it on my v3 to check if it plays online VoD streams flawless .

i gonna check out soon following options in this latest stock rom :

- WiFi

- Video Playback from USB and Apps (Video on Demand services which allways got some tiny frame dropping un-smooth moments , on my galaxytab 3 10.1 and galaxy s3 it runs perfect all the time )

- stability

- bluetooth


i will edit this post after finishing my testings .

So i managed to find the time to "update" to this latest firmware, i was a bit annoyed that despite i clicked update in batchtool the data device got wiped. Not only data partition but also sdcard was wiped. Lucky me i had titanium backup set to external sdcard...

I am making a new ROM from this release. I will also make a patched 1080 and frame skipping kernel (if I can).

I have tried this ROM and I am really disappointed tronsmart would release such a crappy rom,

I have a V3 and the wifi is very poor with this rom, It freezes when downloading apps from google play store, it reboots and wifi stop working,

the stick also gets very hot, this rom is alot worse than the last attempt they release which was the 08.02 rom

I really wish tronsmart would fix this mess I feel cheated by ordering one of these sticks and ending up with V3 hardware,

the 0802 rom seems to work great but video is very poor in this rom,

the only rom that seems to be any good for me is hoabys most recent rom for the V3 stick but even that is not perfect as it still reboots from time to time but it is far better than this rubbish tronsmart has released, It does not work with my V3.

They just set build.prop
video.use.overlay=1
Which fakes it to report it as a 720p kernel!

This might explain the heat and performance. Like the MK908ii ROM I made, I will be patching the kernel to make a 720p kernel for those that want max performance, heat, etc. and don't really need 1080 kernel.

I do not have a V3 board so I cannot test the wifi issues there but wifi works great for me on my original MK908.

So changing video.use.overlay=1 would give 1080p resolution? Would we have to change dpi then as well?

This has been brought up a bunch of times before if you are having stablity issues the first thing you need todo is order a better power supply not bitch about how the rom doesn't work

sorry but not sure if this was aimed at me??

I have bought x2 different PSU's just to be sure, One of which is a samsung galaxy one that was recommend from users on here so please get your fact right before blaming PSU's which I have confirmed is not the case

Also if it was down to a PSU issue then why would the stock tronsmart 0802 rom have no rebooting or wifi issues, just very poor video which is very choppy and gives you a sore head trying to watch it hence the reason I do not use the stock 0802 rom, It is not fit for purpose with how bad the video is???

Reason I'm bitching about this rom is because its a step back from 0802 in my eyes when this is suppose to be a later rom so should it not have improvements rather than functioning worse??

I'm just really frustrated by my mk908 V3, I feel like tronsmart have cheated some of us by releasing yet another new stick which means its likely we will get less support,

I spent weeks looking into these sticks and the 908 seemed like the one to buy, Only to buy it and then relise there is a few variations and some with not too great support like the V3 I have ended up with,

if you read my previous posts you will see I have purchased different PSU's, Of which £30 was spent and this in my eyes is more money down the drain towards a product that has little or no functionality that it had been advertised with having, This was my first Android TV Stick and its a very poor example and put me off them, I have came from a android phone back ground owning lots of different Android phones that I have been more than happy with,

The only rom that seems good for me is Hoabys most recent one but it still encounters reboots from time to time which isnt ideal but it far more stable than any of the others I have tried and has great video performance which is what I'd expect from a stick thats advertised as a media player, Sadly the tronsmart offering (0802) does not offer good video but everything else works great,

its just sad that there is few decent ROMS for V's, I really appreciate all the work the devs have put in and I in no way blame them, its down to tronsmart changing designs and releasing them without fixing the previous issues,

I know for sure I am not the only person on these boards that feels burnt by tronsmart and this V3 stick, I wish they would just release a rom that worked like 0802 and had good video also but sadly they release this rubbish rom which causes my stick to freeze reboot and has all the wifi issues again

I am a very unhappy tronsmart customer and would not spend my money this brand again,

Also I would not even sell this to someone as the performance is so poor I feel they would bring it back to me, I have spent £130 of my hard earned great British pounds on this rubbish, I would have been better building a small HTPC for this price,

I have spent earilly over 30 hours trying different roms and kernel combination to try and get something that works, That would be having good video, no reboots and no wifi disconnects, I have yet to find this so sorry if I am feeling a little frustrated by this point but I have spent alot of money for something that doesnt really work as advertised!

Guys, one more question, if we set video.use.overlay=0 to have 1080p can we then set different dpi to have bigger icons and text?
