Hello, I have a M8S Pro W rev2.3 and I think that I have bricked it. I tried to install M8S_PRO_W-ota-20180312.181951.V0213 from usb, it was installed (i think) the box did a shut down and since then it's stuck with red led. I have tried to reset it with the two pins, I have tried also to install several .img but none working: in USB burning tool it's stuck at Uboot error. Any ideas?! Thanks!!

I have good news and bad news...
the good news are that i found a twrp for our box. You can download the zip file and flash it through update app.Then you have twrp and you can do backup or restore. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1x1b...MZ77Ij-nb/view

The bad news are when you reboot to recovery the box reboot to stock recovery but you can do the same procedure (flash twrp and make restore or ..backup)

hi colbaip, i have almost identical board with yours , the only different is my board have bluetooth chip on it, and weird ROM,
i see the label say "M8S PRO PLUS 2GB 16GB FLASH ZA " did you know about this differences,
because i have problem with this board partition even its on recovery cannot able to locate where is the sdcard location, its mounting wrong partition,
i also try to use TWRP recovery for M8S PRO PLUS from magendanz post.

i have backup original partitions, if you like take a look i will share it later, need some time to upload .

Hi, I have a MECOOL M8S Pro W board (Blue Board Rev 2.3, with S905X SoC) ... PC finds the box via USB immediately, no need to short any pins, however, when I try to flash any ROM, it either stops at 1%, or 2% or 4% ... Most ROMs actually stop at 4% and you hear a USB detach sound from the PC. I tried loads of ROMs with no luck, also tried SD Card flashing again no luck. Most probably I don't have the proper ROM or the board is "dead". This all started when I tried to reset the board, as I had dual boot between ARMBIAN and the stock firmware, then the stock firmware was not booting any more but SD Card ok, so I reset the board and then neither SD Card nor stock rom were booting.

I managed to flash my M8S Plus W with the M8S_PLUS_W 20180622.img and now I am getting the following screen after it boots:

Any idea how I can go past this screen? I connected a keyboard/mouse and I could type on that box,but other than that it seems stuck
