Hi,
thanks for this amazing "idea" and work
But, I noticed an issue with the script.
I found some movie that switch to incorrect "hz" so I debug a little and can say that:
some videos has xx fps show in the player and yy fps in "/sys/class/vdec/vdec_status" that you use to read the fps for the switch
Many time in tv show... maybe for the repack with different audio, but I have many videos that are 23.976 fps and "/sys/class/vdec/vdec_status" show me 25 fps and the opposite:
videos with 25 fps that "/sys/class/vdec/vdec_status" show 23.976 fps
Is there another "status"/ "class" that we can use confront to?
P.S.
In alternative, I'm working on a "modified version" of your script that use the KODI LOG for a confront of fps
I think the correct fps is the one that I see in the player (I use KODI 18.1) or I'm wrong ?
Thanks again.

That "approximate" fps is the only place I found so far (if there was a better one I'd have used it! And I guess I've not been the only one to search, even before I got that box only a month ago...), it has at least the advantage to work globally (compromise, as said), and I did not notice that much inconsistencies. I don't use Kodi white elephant though, that's maybe why
That said if you want to make it specific to Kodi, can't tell you but yeah, I hope it reports its own fps properly
