      Thanks ..
Thinking to give this another go for the S1 ..to get the new boot animation, YET ..

I am still having a battery drain issue. I was thinking the issue was solved, but it is not.

Anyone else experiencing battery drain with the S1 when left in standby/sleep mode?
      Ideas to resolve?
      Does the new rom help?

      Thanks.

I'll see if I can find that file and upload it again.

The linked ROM is still broken (checksum error in kernel.img). Would be great if you could repack and reupload it.

I have this problem as well. Did you solve it? I just read today that one should set wi-fi on during sleep to never to resolve this.

I'll do a new ROM from scratch, with the same firmware. Stay tuned.

I'm uploading v1.0.1 right now. It is based on the same firmware.

I've updated my process since I did 1.0, so you may find a few changes. But I haven't tested everything on a 3066 tablet, so please report any problems.

One new feature is the ability to auto install apk's from your external SD. Just put the apk files you wish to install on first boot in a folder called "autoinstall". Make sure you remove all spaces from the apk file names. Some apps don't like to be installed this way, so you may need to experiment a little.

Also, after all of the apps are installed, the system will install CWM recovery. You will see stock recovery on first boot, but CWM will be there from then on. Just wait a few minutes for all of the apps and CWM to install before rebooting the first time. You can open the app drawer and watch the apps populate as they are installed.

Just go to post #1 and use the same download link.

While I was typing this, the upload finished, so you are good to go.

                        Thanks for your work!

So far I've only used RKBatchTool to flash new ROMs. I've some trouble using ROM_Flash_Tool_137 to do just that. The problem is that "Reboot to Flash Mode" fails with "Device can not do Flash Mode, because it is not msc device.".
I tried several things and also had problems with drivers and the device reporting as Unkown device in Device Manager, without the possibility to Update the drivers (no compatible ones found...). At some point after reflashing an old ROM "Reboot to Flash Mode" worked and I finally clicked "Flash ROM". Status gave me:

                        INFO: Start to run
                        INFO: Start to test device
                        INFO: Test device OK
                        INFO: Start to download IDB
                        INFO: Download IDB OK
                        INFO: Start to reset device
                        INFO: Reset device OK
ERROR:Wait for Loader Rock usb timeout
                        ERROR:Run failed

Anything else I need to do?

Is it possible to flash your ROM and even the loader with RKBatchTool? I'm curious because in this tool I can only select *one* IMG file and not several...

Just launch rkbatchtool and press the switch button. Then you can use the flash tool.

Tried that before, but had no success (connected device is blue btw):

<Layer 3-1-7> This operation didn't do, because of not supporting!
                            Switch Done Success<0> Fail<1>

I think I'll reflash an official ROM and try again.

BTW: I'm running all tools as Administrator (Windows 8.0).

Make sure USB debugging is turned off. Try a different USB 2.0 port.
