Hi Mate

Have you removed the playback setting options in the settings menu ?

The auto refresh rate seems to be on level 2 and no way to change it. I normally have mine on level 1 unless watching footy.

Tested on mini m8s ii and boot issue fixed and runs quick and smooth and video playback is perfect.

trying to run vpn and it shows error that the device does not support the vpnserive API. Is this ROM missing VPN? I would think that for android tv vpn service is a must.

Vpn is removed ... but could add a patch on the weekend to add it back

Just an FYI for people it doesn't work on Roku TV but works on any other tv.

When i unpack file .img AndroidTV 8,i used AmlogicTool 6.0.0. How to open Vendor.PARTTION file on Level 1 folder? Because i not see Vendor Folder. Tks!

I'll make a patch i only took it out for speed stripped down a lot of things to improve the firmware but yea I'll make a patch

I tried to boot into TWRP using the reset button (which is how I usually do it)....but NO luck.
Have you also removed TWRP from this rom?
If so, how do we install the patches?

You don't. You use usb burning tool and install which formats/erases everything.
But I agree should include twrp.

Not sure what you mean?
The USB burning tool uses ".IMG" files
The patches are in ".ZIP" and so they cannot be loaded in USB burning tool.

Pretty sure it will be a new V3 or just new image file. I never seen minifreak do patch files/zip to fix a rom.

After some reading I found this post by ZeroZorro

I typed "reboot recovery" in the Terminal app (in the Apps drawer).

This boots the box into TWRP and you can then Install ZIP patches by navigating to your zip files - I used a USB stick.

However you do need a air mouse in order to "swipe" the install tab in TWRP.

So we just need to wait for minixfreak to make zip patch for VPN.
