remove the default icons on the desktop

Hello:
I have since just 2 days ago my Huawei M310 and I have 2 problems:
- I do not get to add application icons most frequently used on the desktop. Nor did I get to remove some
icons that come by default on the desktop.
- I can not change the desktop background that comes by default.

I flashed the new firmware and installed xbmc gotham firetv nightly and it plays up to 720 nicely.

do you find any XBMC version which can do 1080p playback smooth?

I used xbmc xaf 12.1 2013050347b0a23c60 to make it run smooth. I will check when I get near my device.

The xaf version of Frodo with mx player is the only way I could get some 1080p to play smooth.

No word on the "Tron" yet. Huawei said it will be for the Chinese market. Dont know when it will be released.

Hey guys, I am wondering if you were able to install other apps from Play Store on it. I am buying one now, and I need very much to install other apps like VLC stream and play.

Finally I was thinking of an alternative solution, that would be installing Ubuntu in it.
Maybe it would work fine.
What do u think? Have you tried?

Many apps from playstore wont load. I use aptoide to load them but have never tried vlc nor have I ever tried to install ubuntu. I believe the open source download are updated drivers. Good luck.

A little bit of an old thread but, Can ADB be accessed on this? What about build.prop? Is it a fairly standard Android version?

I have never tried to access adb. It is a Huawei custom android software version. The M310 is getting a bit dated now but it is great as a traveling device due to its size. I particularly like the hdmi- in as well.

not sure if you guys are still using this box, i noticed Huawei posted a new general image for the 310 on their chinese site, dated december ill be giving it a try and posting back results on it. also, with the release of their source code i will see if i can provide a root. wish me luck guys, hopefully i don't brick it LOL.

This unit sure plays nice with Kodi 14.2. . Great little traveling device.
