    Hi, DEcosse.
    Thanks for you replay.
    Sorry for the confusion.
I know this firmware is made for AM6.
I said AM6 because from the log file I`ve posted above, it seems to be a log file of AM3 but it is actually from AM6.

Uogoos Am6 plus has no otg cable in the package. I read from ugoos flashing instructions that some flashing operations can only done with a otg usb cable.
I want to be prepared for all cases. Therefore i need this cable.
What exactly for an cable is that? Has it two usb A connections on each side?
Where i get such an cable wich will work with ugoos am6 plus?

        thx in advance

        Comment

You do need the cable if you want to flash firmware - if using OTA upgrades it is not required.
So for example if you wanted to apply the Ugoos Dual Boot version, you can only do this via the cable

Thank you DEcosse for the Information.

I think i need this cable becouse:
The first i do now is trying to install an TRWP, thats essentiell for me.
As far as i remember people said, that OTA is not working anymore if TRWP is installed.
I have an older cable wich is not usb3 but it has on each side USB A connectors.
If i remember correcty i used it in the past for flashing the mojo box.
Can i also use this cable? I am afraid that it will circuit or brick the ugoos Box if i try, therefore i better ask here before: )
I am thankfull for every help i can get with this device.
I turn it now on for the first time and make my first steps with it.

              short update:

The device gives me a hard time. I controll it with minix air mouse / remote.
Many buttons have no functions. I could map the power button on one of these settings menues, but it still don t work even i have the power button on minix remote mapped.
For turning the device off / restart, i have to scroll down till this bottom menue apears, from there i have to klick the power symbol, then i get an menue.
Its very incomprehensible to get there only for standard operations like reboot, power off etc.
I found also no way, to lay that power menue as button in ugoos launcher. I don t find the app wich belongs to that.
The worst is: hibernation did not work at all. If i click it, nothing happens,...
The same fun with OTA wich is named "systemupdate"? I only reach it with several menues and sub menues to come there.
I also can t direct lay it as button on ugoos launcher.
So working with this device is very incomprehensible for me at the moment., becouse nothing is working like it should.
From things like how setup and flash duaboot firmware, i can even dream on...I need more instructions to come clear with this device.
Its exactly like i feard. I hope i can get over these troubles,...

Honestly don't really understand/agree with this complaint - with the Air Mouse you just scroll to bottom of screen and pull up the bottom menu and click the power icon

This one I COMPLETELY agree with - it is really buried and there is no shortcut for it - takes multiple screen layers to tunnel down to it
It's not like you need to access it frequently, but still ........... would be nice if there was a way to have direct link to it from the apps screen
From things like how setup and flash duaboot firmware, i can even dream on...I need more instructions to come clear with this device.
To install DualBoot Firmware, you cannot install from the Update (OTA) screen - you must download it from the Mega location and install (flash the image) using USB Burning Tool with your cable
                - once installed by this method however, you should be able to install new updates for that from the OTA screen (but only for dual boot versions - If you wish to go back to single Android mode then you would have to do similar process to burn it with the cable). Recognize of course that when you flash a new image that you start over with a new Android setup and need to reload all your former apps and settings
An alternative is to use CEEMMC tool to apply your CE system to the EMMC as a new partition alongside the 'regular' AM6 Android firmware
The advantage is that if you already have your Android configured with apps etc, all of these remain when you upgrade the Android Version and also when you apply/remove CE using the CEEMMC tool. The only downside there is you must remove the CE partition before you upgrade a new Android version then re-apply - this is all done from the CEEMMC tool however and not really that major a chore.
Or - simply continue to run CE on your SD Card

I use the the A3 Minix Remote, wich works great with my minix u9h, but not with the ugoos am6 plus. Many shortcuts key on remote seem to have no function. You can map them with an tool wich comes with the player but this seems not to work in all ways...

Honestly don't really understand/agree with this complaint - with the Air Mouse you just scroll to bottom of screen and pull up the bottom menu and click the power icon
Exspecially if you set up the device, it can be that you must offen restart, set in sleep / hibernation -mode and if you have therefore first, switch the remote to air-mouse-mode, scroll to the buttom, click on the menue the power symbol, wait for the open submenue and choose then the power options you need form the apearing menue, then for me this is unecessary incomprehensible!
On my minix u9h i had only to press the powerbutton on remote and from there i could choose the power options. Its 100 times fast and more comfortable then the way i must act with this on the am6+. But the worst is, have you realized, that you can only choose this powermenue on the buttom with air an mouse???
With the packed in standard ugoos remote you don t have air mouse function. That means, you not even come down to the buttom-menue, so you can t use power function at all if you want to use the device with the remote it comes bundled with...
Thanks you for providing information for dualboot, but in the meantime, i spend an whole night with this player, tgetting more informations and manage this by myself. My usb cable was working to use usb-flash-tool.

                  actual situation:

I can t go on to work with this player anymore untill i don t get an link to an working TRWP. I spendet now many hours for setup everything etc. and i don t see the point to i lose everything and make it again and again and again, if i want for example try an other firmware / must restore the system becouse errors etc., only becouse i have no working TRWP. To make everything what i allreadyl finished again, again and again, costs not only time, for me this is a kind of torture!
I ask so often if there anyone can give me a link to a working TRWP but it came no concret help with a link to an working version and now i have the trouble and can t work further. I feared that it will exactly come like this and no this is the case.
I also worte to ugoos becouse this and they said that i could just use the TRWP from the google playstore.
That seem to be a lie. I did so and if you want flash trwp you h ave to choose from a devicelist where ugoos am6 plus is not listet. So i can t use it.
It seems this ugoos people told me bullshit. Sorry i am a little bit angry.
Whatever, ugoos am6 will lay on ice, till i get an working TRWP for that device.
I hope anyone can help me with that.

                  regards

                    Short update:

I still don t have a working TRWP yet, but a promissing hint, how it can be possibly installed on that device.
                    Lets see.
Things are getting a little bit better. I managed also map the power button on the minix a3 remote, but you can only turn it on with it, for turnning it off, you have to mapp another button.
Its not great, but better then nothing. For that you must go to settings/poweroptions and there you can map the power button for an other remote.
                    May it help someone.
Hibernation mode, seems not correctly working if HDMI-CEC is activatet. The device will then wakeup after setting into hibernation from itself.
That it stays in hibernation it seems you have to disable HDMI-CEC...
Its also not good that HDMI-CEC isn t working.

I also had a positive experience with this device: A stock kodi seems to work correctly with framerate-switching what is GREAT, but i still have to make deeper tests.
I think this player has a great potential, but if ugoos don t solving bugs on the firmware it can be that its goeing under.
I don t hope so. I hope that this people will make their job correctly and fixing esentiell things...
So far till now, further tests in progress.

I got crashed many times under the lated 0.3.7.
This is the photo when I get crashed.
I`ve tried changing the HDMI cable and unplug everything.
Is anyone there can give me some advice?
Also, I`ve tried to contact with UGOOS support team.
Hopefully they can help me with this.
(Last time they told me update to the latest firmware and send logs. Still waiting to hear from them)

                            Thanks to Duvel and Decoose

I tried also to flash the trwp.img from this link with usb-burnning-tool.
Its not working, becouse it gives an error message at parsing.
I have also instructions to flash this trwp with shell / commandline options.
I will show this to an more experienced friend and if he thinks its save and can work, then maybe i give it atry.

In the meantime i also tried to use the pro version of titanium backup as long as i have no other method for recovery,
This tool was not abe to recovery basic settings like langauge, playstore account etc. back.
I extra testet and settet the device after backup to factory defaults.
So till know i keep titanium backup for an sensless tool...
I need a full restore like i have it with TRWP, all other is no backup for me...

                            @kuuou

Your situation also makes me sad and i wished i could help more, but i am only an not so experienced enduser.
Have you allready tried this guid from ugoos?:
                            https://ugoos.com/firmware-upgrade-g...mlogic-devices
Its not directly for am6 i think, but it should be similiar.
At buttom there is an guide for bricked device.
                            Maybe it can help.
                            About my experiences with ugoos:
After my experiences with them, i can only recommendt not to trust this people, without double-checking their answers.
I had several support requests and the answers they gave me, were nether wrong or ridicouls.
For example i asked them if android 9 wich runs on the am6+ can access an sd-card wich is used as portable memory.
They answered, that they can t check it becouse they don t have an sdcard.
Incomprehensible that the developer of an device should have no sdcard wich costs some cents...
Wich experience i had with them on my TRWP-questions, you can read above.
I hope they will help you, but better put not so much hope in it.
I wish you much luck and hope you can solve your problem.

Knows anyone if the HDMI-CEC-bug is fixed in the 0.3.7 firmware for the am6+?
I am on official dce 3.6 firmware and there hdmi-cec is not working at all...

                              short update:

Still have no working trwp, but slowly i am getting more and more lucky with this box.
Its seems to work stable. Hibernation also seems to work. In combination with kodi and the android-power plugin (not sure if the name is correct) its comfortable to use, like i know it from my minix u9h. With setting to go into hibernation-mode after a inactivity for example 15 minutes, its a nice fire and forget box. Is there if needed and in powersaving-mode if not.
Exactly like such a box should work at least for me; )
Autoframerateswitching seems to work correctly in kodi. There is an option in the settings for android called afr i think. Its for autoframerate for all apps.
Not sure about that. Afr Is changeing the framerate from 60 to 50 hz (wich is correctly for pal tv) if i use the android ip-tv-app from my provider, but hd-tv is stuttering. This must not be the device, it can also be the app, i don t know.
Afr seems to work with media playback only. In retroarch it keeps staying on 60hz, if its emulating for example an 50hz pal-system...You can t have everything
I have to manuell change the refreshrate for this.
So far my impressions till now. Further tests in progress.

Update: Flashing working TRWP to the Ugoos AM6+

All the knowledge of the world belongs to the people:

                                The solution is very easy:
Get the AmlogicFlasher from here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/and...asher-t3803178
Get the TRWP from the xda-thread postet above: https://forum.xda-developers.com/and...905x3-t3974865
                                Download this: "twrp-9.0-w400-3.3.1-0.img"
Flash it with AmlogicFlasher and you are done. It works on my device, but off course its your own risk.
That was it already. But be aware that OTA is not anymore working if TRWP is flashed.
