Gh0stw4lk3r, if you want to tinker with neomodes img you can start with the build.prop file that's in the system folder. Install BuildProp Editor and ES File Explorer. Install the finless rom and copy the system\build.prop file to a thumb drive. Install neomodes rom and copy it's system\build.prop file to a thumb drive too. You can use a tool called Beyond Compare on your windows PC to compare these two text files and start Googling each item that's different in these two files to see what each item does. You can even try putting the finless build.prop in neomodes rom. I've done this in order to try to enhance the wifi and google play stuff that I'd like enhanced. The easiest way to use a custom build.prop or the finless build.prop is to use ES File Explorer. Open the build.prop in the ES File viewer. Ctrl-A, Ctrl-C should select all of the text and copy it to the clipboard. Open BuildProp Editor and edit the current build prop. Select All, delete, and then paste in the text of your custom build.prop.

If anything goes wrong you can erase and reflash your android stick. Keep in mind that it's highly probable that the build.prop might not fix your issue.

You can take the system.img file from Finless 1.6b and use it in Neomodes flash took with his loader, boot, misc, kernel, recovery, system, and backup files and see if this fixes your issue. I've mixed and matched a lot of these files from different builds and rom builders just to see if it would break my CX919. So far I haven't bricked it. Just erase and start over. It's a loooong learning process but it's worth it in the end to have a good working device.

tip: in ES File Explorer click on Tools on the left and click Root Explorer ON. Your thumb drive will show up under Local in ES File Explorer.

      Hi Neomode,

I wanted to ask you if it possible to create a one file flash of this so that I can use with RKBatchTool 1.7?
I have tried to flash this rom with RKAndroidTool 1.24 and it sees the device (Rockchip USB) and I can erase, but it never flash. I always have to revert back to using RKBatchTool, which always works.

My device is the Rikomagic USA IIIs (RK3188 Dual Core).

      Thank you.

Could someone correct me if I'm wrong here but there is no official Riko MK802 IIIs with an RK3188 SOC. The IIIs was a dual core variant utilizing an RK3066 that supported BT connects. The RK3188 is a quad core processor, not dual. Where did you purchase the unit?

The device is from RikomagicUSA.com they have two devices using RK3188 chips, they call their Dual Core unit a IIIs and the Quad Core is just that. I believe they are like the MK802IV, but somehow they've disabled 2 cores on the RK3188 for their IIIs unit.

http://rikomagicusa.com/?product=dual-core Look at the "Additional Information" tab for the specifications.

Site's no good for info. I'm betting its a clone. Oddly presented, too. Good luck.

(Edit - Can you open it up and take a pic of its guts to ID the chips? I did some digging. It certainly isn't a Shenzhen Rikomagic, aka RKM. You have something from an entirely different company whom have bought American rights to a deviously similar name. The products they sell have me bewildered. Here is the derelict but "official" US page: rikomagic.us Additionally here is the true RKM mk802 iiis page: http://www.rikomagic.com/en/product/...32_pid_19.html )

Thanks, I'll try this ROM ASAP

                    Hi,

I recently bought a CX919 and now I'm trying out which ROM's work best.
I tried the Finless 1.6b Rom but I'm not entirely happy about it so I'll give this one a shot!

One question I didn't come across in this thread is NFS support, it seems very difficult to find a CIFS.ko for mounting NFS servers. Because I don't know how to compile one, my question is if someone knows how to create one or where to find one??? Can you help me out please?

1080p with out frame skipping would be epic! Can't wait to install that one

                    Thanks,
                    Teazz

Minix original software on MK 809 iii

A bit of history: I have a MK 809 iii. I've installed the Neomode rom. Everything was working ok. A bit slow though. I've pulled out the antenna and wifi improved very much. I had 20Mb after some mods (after that i've broken the antenna ). So, I've tried the minix X7 original software(6210). 1080p. No overvlock (oc). I do not know if it should or not should work, what I know: bad: no bluethooth. wifi is working but not so fast as before. goods: 1) 1080p working almost flawless on xbmc gotham. 2) very fast rom. Using ctrlO on xbmc I had now skips or drops on any 720p movie. I think that, this rom, with some modifications it sould work very well. Since, I've tried to mod the wifi - install new antenna- and I've ddammaged the pins on the 6210. I found a repeater (20 $) and wired the internet to the stick. It is working ok. Till now is the best xbmc video I had on rk3188. (809iii)

I am also very anxiously awaiting for the 1.7 ROM Update with New fixes, however NeoMode already mentioned having timing issues to work on improving his ROM.

Please do not press it too much, so that he may find some time to work quiet and finish the new ROM update.

So as Neomode has always done such an excellent job, I'm going to ask you all a little patience and calm, although we are all a bit desperate...

                              I think he deserves it!
