Well, it seems h.265 support was removed for some reason. Anyway, there is no much use of it right now. And original ROM image is 20 MB bigger than #414 with h.265 support. Just wonder, what is there.

And 3G modem is off by default. So tablet sleeps well until 3G is turned on. After that reboot is needed to get deep sleep working again.

The 20 MB difference is just one game. However, found that libhevcdec.so is missing in update#6 and Riley ROM 1.8. This one is for H.265 support, but only one or not don't know yet. And also 18 lib files are different including related to camera, light and other sensors

Okay, so a couple of questions. I downloaded 1.7a but never installed it. In 1.7a do you just have to turn the modem off to get deep sleep to work again or reboot it like this one?

Also, if libhevcdec.so is all that is missing from this one for H.265 support couldn't we just take it out of the last rom and add it to this one to get it working? Not that I care all that much about it.

I'm just debating whether it is worth installing this one or sticking to installing 1.7a as planned.

Later tonight, I will copy over that .so file and run an insmod command in the init.rs file and see if it works.

It's just shared library, not a kernel module. Most likely insmod will not help. Probably, need to use RKplayer from that version too. It was the only player which was playing some, far not all hvec clips.

I've installed HD widgets and are using a widget that shows time and weather. However the clock sometimes stops updating and freezes. Anybody know why? As soon as I open the app it updates again. Tried a few similar widgets and got the same result.

Dennta, I have noticed that clock widget on Pipo laucher is not updating for some time after reboot too. Looks like this ROM (original first of all) still needs good tuning.

Also, was playing with CPU modes and accidentally left tablet alone in performance mode. Was unable to wake it up at all without hard reset.

If you interest with multi-windows function, go on install xposed and xhalofloatingwindow.
It's work so great on my m7p. I have to recommend it to you all!

I downloaded the ROM and Norton says it removed Suspicious.Cloud.2?What is it...

This ROM is actually the fastest and smoothest existing ROM for the M7

- I have set the CPU to "ondemand".
- set also the wifi to never for "keep wifi during sleep"
- in settings / developper options / window animation scale / transition animation scale and animator duration scale set to off

Nooooo. Big problem.

Something has gone very wrong. I installed the ROM but when it finished the tab wouldn't start. I followed the instructions for putting the device into loader mode and re-installed the ROM. The device started but now the touch screen will not work. Interestingly, the volume buttons and other buttons work but the touch screen won't.

Since then I have flashed the ROM again, which just left me with the same problem. I have also tried to flash 1.7a, but it still has the same problem.

The ROM I was on when I started all this was 1.6.

Any ideas Randy or fazerg?
