If y flash the boot.img and a kernel over 400mhz on GPU , my mk808b is not booting, tested on digitopmod and finless 2.1 . Is booting only if you flash the overclocked kernel without boot.img

As I mentioned two pages back, the boot.img is done incorrectly.

You're not getting the GPU overclocked regardless. I personally would suspend the thread or upload CPU and DDR overclocked kernels only to stop people wasting time.

Ok, let me get this straight, overclocked kernel means in this case just set the governor on performance and set CPU to 1.6 or 1.5 mhZ . In my mind a kernel with overclocked CPU means scaling from 256 to 1.6 mhz on interactive governor. My 2 cents

Please verify on setcpu if on interactive the cpu is scalling more then 1008 mhz

Verified. It scales up to 1200 (which sucks anyway...)

Guys something happend after flashing crossbreder on finless 2.1 with 1512 ,400, 533 kernel , i see the cpu going all the way to 1512 on interactive governor . Antutu is giving now 14000 , so i guess the kernel started working or i don t now what happend because if i look on setCPU now the cpu is scaling . Before flashing crossbreeder it was capped at 1008 mhz. It need more work but i think that mo123 is on to something. Thank you mo123 and keep working to make them better .

same result here with finless 2.1 with 1512 ,400, 533 kernel + finless 2.1 boot image then i got the cpu set in interactive and scale between 252 to 1512 and i got 13352 in antutu and it give gpu give me 12 fps max.

to be sure i re-flash to finless 1.7 and the same 1512 ,400, 533 kernel got exactely same result with antutu 13127 but the cpu scale between 252 and 1008 !

conclusion: the cpu frq dosn't change nothing in the antutu result. only tweaked ram give us a lot of magic... dmesg show me for sure 528mhz ram clock this part at least is tested and working ok on both 2.1 and 1.7 rom (even if i select flash other ram frequecy kernel, it all work, dmesg never lie

firstly all boot.img provided with kernel must be fix.....

i suspect only a only few combo of cpu-gpu-ddr will work, not all. it is possible that cpu change is frequency depend on the gpu frequency. and also the gpu frequency change is frequency depend on... .... .... .... ..... ... and the ram frency not allow the gpu...... and the cpu frq....... .. ... .. the ram frequency. YOU KNOW what i mean

answer is yes, with no doubt the tweak of ram is working great and it's only for that we got a little boost in antutu score, that is not bad.

i in't have much time to test all kernel with both 1.7 and 2.1 rom but here's a clue: i kept my 1.7 rom and just flash stockcpu_stockgpu_533ddr kernel and cpuset to interactive 252 to 1008 (pretty stock) and i got the same antutu result as post before :13096.

the ram tweak is working well as we could see in dmesg and antutu score.
when we got a working overcloaked kernel and WORKING boot image side by side allowing to do magic with both cpu and gpu even on 1.7 or 2.1 rom i'm pretty sure we could have near a 20000 score in antutu. but only if X cpu frequ support X gpu freq and if ram frequ support.... bhaaa you know it all i think... an other thing i don't know who is locked in the kernel or just dosen't allow much tweak due to hardware voltage regulator..... all advised overcloaker know that a cpu need more voltage power when overcloak and ram must be set to a compatible value or the system will not be stable.

a lot to read in sdk documentation sheet about cpu and gpu will not be bad...

Thx to mo123 and other devel, tweaker and of course tester that make it possibly to be on the way to an working oc kernel.

(I'M PRETTY HAPPY NOW WITH A 533mhz DDR,that's a good start at least)

I've got just a little bit boost from Antutu score also. I took Lewy's ROM Minix HFW 2.2.3 1080p in my test and put mo123's Android 4.1 kernel 1080p cpu1608, gpu533, ddr533 with 4.1 1080p boot.img. The Antutu score resulted from ~11500 to ~12300. Like you guys said most score from RAM speed but seemed not help 2D&3D graphic score much. However Epic citadel improved about 5 fps in my test.

I just had another test of Finless ROM 2.1 1080p with overclocked kernel 1080p cpu1608, gpu533, ddr533 but without boot.img (it caused my device stuck in boot loop). It gave me pretty good for overall result. Antutu wasn't quite impressive it reached only ~10,000 scores. However Epic Citadel came out very well with 29 fps better than my last test with Lewy's ROM only 26 fps. I installed XBMC 12.2 Frodo and check "system info" to see screen resolution and it showed 57.71 fps. that looked pretty good number. It seemed like this overclocked kernel goes well with Finless ROM especially 2D&3D.

Note : I tried many overclocked kernel with this Finless 1080p ROM 2.1. The overclocked kernel cpu1608, gpu533, ddr533 gave me the best Antutu scores also same best in Epic Citadel.

i compare mo123 720p 4.1 stockcpu-stockgpu-ddr533 with 2dark4u 1.4 720p kernel.
with 2dark4u i got 12026 on stock interactive scale from 504 to 1416 (fresh flash & no setcpu modification) ddr is set exactly to 564mhz (dmesg)

as i see 2dark4u kernel scale from 504 to 1416

if i set the cpu to interctive scaling 1008 i got 10204 (a stock kernel score..)
if i set the cpu to performance 1008 i got NOTHING antutu tell that fail request and just cannot do test on that and got problem to close the app hang got to unplug mk and reboot....

if i set the cpu to performance 1416 i got 12431

and if i set the cpu to interactive scaling 1200 i got 11261

i all test done with finless mk808b 720p boot image (fastest as i read)

mo123 kernel is best so far i see even if ram are at 528mhz comparate to 2dark4u 568mhz (too much overcloaked sometime is not good) if 2dark4u would set the clock at 528mhz in is kernel i'm pretty sure he could get better result...

13300 in antutu mo123 show us the way...

After many many test it's the best result i could achieve right now. i use finless 1.7 and his 720p boot.img + mo123 kernel_cpu1416_gpu400_ddr533.img but with kernel related in this thread http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...ALKMAN_Nov2013
i think is a second batch of mo123 kernel 3.0.8+ ?

i don't know why but i achieve this score only if i flash the kernel and don't go to cpuset. if i open the app next score will decrease. i think cpuset change setting of cpu on app start...
