I'll try it "YT NEXT" (I use this apk.on my other Box A95X4 F4 and its OK)
BTW YT Next has give HDR support to you(Option>>HDR is OK) but I'm not sure this new box has to be full compatible with this Apk.!!

RK3566 doesn't support HDR10+ used by Youtube.
It only supports HDR, HDR10 and it's broken in the manufacturers firmware.

The chipset does support it but not the broken firmware from the manufacturer.
There will be other RK3566 devices like the Station M2 RK3566 where HDR will work perfect.

I bricked mine , power was shutdown during firmware upload ... I fixed it holding the reset button while off , usb cable connected to computer , firmware waiting for device ... and plugging the usb and power .. and the device appeared on the tool so I stopped holding the reset button. ... 4 minutes later ... all good ...

also by mistake found that if you hold to much . It loads android recovery screen , to get the menu you click again the reset button then use usb keyboard to move

1st with the box off , and unplugged from power , and usb (black).
‘click the “play” on the tool , so it waits for device
then while holding the reset button plug the usb and power watch the computer should start the upload , if your screen is black when you plug it in .. it means you are ok .. uphold the reset button ..

mine was flashing the hk1 logo for a sec and reboot loop ... I had to scroll down the list to find the device ... to many USB ports

Flashingguide for RK :

dowload latest Drivers and install , reboot PC , start Flashtool , load Firmware , then

connect Box & PC only USB , then press & hold reset and put the Power in , PC makes

a Sound and similar LoaderMode will shown up in Tool , leave Reset , then you can start

the flashing ,

remember for higher AndroidVersion you first have to "erase flash" before you update ,

seems a little bit confuse and still cant understand well

-first of all as I understood that this operation starting and connected thru PC(mine is Desktop WIN7)
-"click the play" is it mean or are y saying click to "Remote unit"??

a short video will be highly good one though

as you can see ... you have “ firmware button “ to select the firmware
run ( play ) button .... click that before you plug in the usb



this way the tool will start the upload as soon as it’s recognized on usb

having this screen , ouch and hold the reset button , plug in the usb , and the power ... it should start the upload ... scroll down to find your device in case you have a large list like mine

tried with FT 1.6 plus Driver Assis.4.4
download your stated .img file

but f/w does not load! always got an error such as>>>"Failed to load .image file"
and also device does not recognized when I connect PC by USB cable and got an error; "Driver not installed"

so no any proceed after all

I leave it box in their own carton and sad it bye-bye

HI to all Flash Noobs , once again ,

first download latest RK Drivers , for sure above 4.7 now ,

download the right Flashtool , Androidtool , as possible latest Version ,

install Drivers with Admin Rights , Reboot , start Flashtool , load the right

FW , connect the USB ( only USB ) , now press & hold the reset Button , with

your other Hand plug in Power , now the PC makes a connecting Sound and

similar the Loadermode will show up in Tool , now leave the Button and start

flashing with the Flashtool , wait until ready , now you can close Flashtool

and unplug the Box to test on TV ,

really not heavy , if something unclear look for YT Videos ,

before,when I use some of RK devices;as I did it and succeeded with this tool&drivers
(now installed all latest versions too)

tried many version tools but no one load the F/W!!
seems that my f/w look a like different or wrong etc.,

in fact this box like a scam,because of no WiFi 5GHZ support! so you cant use with 2.4/Ethernet and most of
Streams even other video-plays etc., sucks

Scam? My box works fine on wifi 5GHZ
most streams work fine , there are some issues with HDR files ... I guess just software related since on YouTube there is a test of the SBC with rk3566 and HDR is working there

Are you using an img file. (a note if you got a 7z file you need to uncompressed it 1st )?

Is the device shown on their factory tool ?

it just looks like you are having issues doing the right things .... and to call it a scam just because it didn’t work for you is dumb ...

all these rk3566 android boxes are manufactured at the same factory , they just change labels .. and load custom firmwares by vendor with more or less features ...

For those who do not see wi-fi 5 GHz, set the 149 channel in the router settings. On the latest firmware from July 7, when you turn off the TV box, it reboots, or turns off and does not turn on from the remote, you have to distort the power supply.

my modem WiFi 5GHz>>WLAN Global Config.;Auto,36-112 channels only(mine always leave it 36)

in our home there is lot of devices/TV etc., and all are working 5GHz with 36channel
