STUPID STUPID STUPID mistake on my part... sheesh... I cannot believe I made such a simple mistake. a typo in my script that makes system.img. It failed to copy all the files from the original ROM

I am re-uploading the file now.

Sorry about that! This time I flashed it to my Arnova and it boots. It's not a brick ROM.
But same thing. It's a BETA test as I cannot test anything since the touch screen does not work.

Stay tuned. New BETA B will be up in a little bit.

Please it's simple. Every beta will go through a, b, c etc. If your not a 1211 ROM then this need not apply. That ROM is done. If your a 1011, then all this applies. This thread is ONLY about version 1011.

Please don't confuse 1211 ROMS with 1011 ROMS.

Anyway new BETA B for 1011 is uploading now.

N7P #1011v1.5 is working on my yf1211 (significant because Finless' #1211 would not). First is a great THANKS for teamwork -- Finless, Fenice, Petrus, Damo, Miklaus. Also, let's not overlook testers of previous roms.

This now is after the first injection and some restoration of Titanium backups; I plan to experiment with my own app choices to system vs data; then there'll be a learning curve for new backup procedures.

BETA 1.5b for 1011 a success!

I'm happy to announce that the BETA 1.5b for 1011 has installed successfully on my YF1211 with sound!

The boot-up is definitely faster and it seems rather snappy overall.

Here are some things that I have noticed:

• The Default Browser did not load from the Apps Injector
  After choosing Default Browser, it is not appearing on my desktop, or in the apps drawer.

• The Desk Clock did not load from Apps Injector
  I am assuming that this is the clock that you see on the main desktop. It's not there.

• Picture Gallery3D did not load from the Apps Injector
  This app is not showing up in the apps drawer.

• Live Wallpapers (from Apps Injector) is missing items
  When I go into the Live Wallpapers, the only option is Maps live wallpaper (I assume this is Google Maps which I also injected.) I normally set the spinning galaxy as my live wallpaper, but this option is no longer there.

• Problem with YouTube app from Apps Injector
  When I launch YouTube I get a message that says "There was a problem starting up. Please check your network connection and system time."
  My WiFi is connected and my timezone is set. This is still not working.

• I notice that there is something wrong in general with apps that access the network. I restored a Yahoo e-mail app from my Titanium Backup, and the app runs fine, but when I check my Yahoo Inbox from the app, it does not show me my current e-mails. The app is not giving me any kind of error, but it is not synching with my Yahoo Inbox.
  Again according to my WIFI settings, I am properly connected.

That's what I have noticed for now. I'll play more with it when I get home.

PS. Scratch the last two points about my problems with the YouTube App and my Yahoo Mail app. When I got home and connected to my home Wifi, both of them worked. I think there was an issue with my work WiFi.

Did you reboot after APP injection? App Injector worked fione on the 1211 so I am suprised it is not working on 1011. Can you please double confirm?

Yes, I made sure to reboot after the flashing, and I rebooted after each APP injection (by reboot I mean used the paperclip in the pinhole which turned off the unit, and then I turned it back on).

I forgot to mention above that the Task Killer also did not appear after App injection, and later on last night I kept get force closes with Google Play and the media player. Also my Plants vs. Zombies (restored with Titanium) will not launch as it is now telling me that it is not compatible with my device. (I'm not happy with that! )

Later today I am going to delete and then re-copy the app injector and package zip to my SD card, re-flash with BETA 1.5b 1011, and then I am going to install every app in the App Injector and see exactly what is available and what is not.

I'll report back later.

Hang on. I think I know what I did. I "assumed" the apps were the same for the 1211. I used the same package.zip for the 1011 as the 1211. I guess they are not exactly the same.

So I am uploading BETA c ROM file now with all the apps directly taken from the 1011 stock ROM.

FYI a reflash of the ROM is not needed but is highly suggested so you start from a clean setup again!

A quick question. Does it cause any damage/degredation to flash your tablet multiple times?

Flash chips are rated for 10's of thousands of flashes. If you had any idea how many times I have flashed my Arnova you would not even be worried about it.

BUT with that said, in the last 6 months, I have seen about 3 users on only 1 or 2 flashes have it fail. Thats purely a bad flash chip they had as again they are rated for more that you will probably ever flash in a life time

Something else that will help me with me testing. Could someone describe what the following apps are and where I would find them on tablet? (These are in the Apps Injector)

I asked the same questions on the 1211 beta. Now one knows for sure.

Auto time service we think just gets the time from the Internet and updates your clock. WE THINK... Not sure.

Protips is just some tips on how to use the tablet. Junk really. I forget now how to access it but for sure using anycut.apk from the market you can find it and add it as a short cut on your desktop.

Delect file... NO CLUE! Does not seem to hurt anything having it removed. At least not that anyone has noticed or said yet.
