The katsy ROM. I can say the camera does work... As well as it always has.as do the gyros
The ROM seems really stable and much more responsive than any other I've used. WiFi is finally fixed!!! Which for me makes this device usable, finally!!!
As I said before battery drain on standby is great.. Like 2% overnight with the wifi still on!.
But during normal usage IT DRAINS FAST, gsam battery monitor says its all screen, but its still seams horrible,( I've lost % while I write this ). With screen brightness at almost min.
My hope is to get 900Ss ROM running.

@900supersport , I did get it to flash a and boot. But I ran into the same issue as the other gentleman, no keyboard. So I flashed katsy back.
Suggestions?.
I am no where near knowledgeable enough to go diving around in code by my self to try and fix it.
I will try flashing againg tomorrow and see if it auto corrects like it did for the other guy..

You need to install gsam root companion to see app usage in kitkat.

To change the keyboard go to settings, language and input method and change the default to android keyboard (AOSP)

I had to install the keyboard manually but i got it going either way..
So far the best Rom i've had for this tab. and wow the wifi works!!!!!and doesen't bung everything up when it goes to sleep.
Standby Battery drain is good. Still thing its draining way to fast while in use.
GSAM claims it all the screens fault but I'll let it go through a few charge cycles to see how bad it really is..

But STELLAR WORK 900 Supersport.. My Cube is finally more that a frustrating paperweight!

Thank god I wasn't the only one with the tablet going to sleep problems!

I mentioned something about it screwing up everything especially my wifi connection, but with no responses about it, I just figured it was my fault for setting it up wrong or that I was the only one having this problem.

Can't wait to get the kitkat working on mine sounds amazing.

Hey Guys,
So after a few days and a few charge cycles here is what I have found:

Still faster and more stable than ever!!! ( I have not had a crash yet )

Standby battery life is better than ever. I'm sure I could leave it for a week easy on standby..

Wifi.... Is Awesome! Finally good range and it doesn't just stop all together the second more than one app tries to use it!!

But here is the Problem, The Battery drains super fast while in use. ( faster that usual )
The last charge was the best yet and I go like 1h30 of screen on time out of it.....

So a few questions/ Info to try and help get this fixed..
GSAM says its all the screen,,, well 98%..
I have it set to the lowest brightness,

There has been some talk about various kernels that are not letting the cpu slow down? Could this be the case?

What should the battery voltage read in GSAM ?

What sort of life is everyone else getting??

900SS , you are so close to having our cubes finally be what we hoped they would!!

In all honesty mine is just a light rework of the cube KitKat beta. Power consumption is a big issue with the rk processors and cube's KitKat betas seem to be particularly poor. Its a shame as I really like the feel of the KitKat ROMs on the u30gt2.

3. If you don't need the "ringer", disable it

how do I go about Recalibrating the Battry... I have never done this ( so I guess i should )

I believe I have already removed all the phone stuff.. via root browser / system/apps and pri/app
GSAM battery mon. tells me Im ok there.. ( or at least thats what it tells me )

Where do I dsiable the ringer??

Calibration: I use an app called "Easy Battery Calibration"
Ringer: I use an app called "Quick Settings" to disable it. Note - there are many apps with this name in the Play Store. The one I use is written by "halfbit".

Yes, battery should be fully charged and tablet plugged into mains power before recalibration - the app will tell you so anyway, if you attempt to do anything else.

if i google this model i just get a few forum threads from earlier in the year where someone was panicking and trying to restore it.... dont wanna join that club!
have backup up mine with Finless ROM DUMPER TOOL - seemed to go OK....(thanks Finless!!)

I just flashed v2.06. My first flash!!
All working great.
I added multi users by editing build.prop and adding a line
Fw.max_users=5
All OK, seemed to restart upon adding each one but no biggy.

FWIW I actually manged to get a simple booting KK kernel on the U30GT2. Unfortunately personal/private life a little hectic but I do hope to build it out to be fully functional at some point.
