Amlogic Next7HD8G (NX007HD8G) Modified Recovery - Stock Rom & Flashable Root

Hi,

I've seen many roms for AML8726-MX for Ainol made by Christian Troy.
Are some of them portable to AML8726-MXS?
BTW... what's the difference?

I'm interested specially in his CM11 (4.4.2) mine is infamous NX007HD8G.
Does this has SElinux kernel?

Maybe I've should ask for this in Troy site, but mine is Yifang / Nextbook stuff.

They are portable... but it isn't simple...

Requires using the stock Nextbook kernel, changes to the boot image, and lots of changes to the ROM to get all the hardware working.

I've been trying to build from source using CT's device tree, but I haven't been able to get everything working yet. I've temporarily given up in order to focus on getting some more stock based ROMs released.

HI I HAD MY [NEXTBOOK 7HD8G] FOR 1 YEAR NOW AND NEVER WAS ABLE TO FLASH ANY ZIP FILE.
TODAY I WAS SEARCHING ON HOW TO FLASH ZIP FILES AND IT BROUGHT ME TO UR LINK.
SO NOW I KNOW ITS POSSIBLE TO FLASH NOW THANKS TO YOU I CAN NOW BE ABLE TO.BUT I TRIED YOUR INSTRUCTIONS AND IT DIDN,T WORK THIS IS WHAT I DID:
[I DOWWNLOADED THE ZIP FILE AND EXTRACTED IT TO MY EXTERNAL SDCARD AND INSURTED IT AND REBOOTED INTO RECOVERY]BUT WHEN I WENT INTO RECOVERY I SAW THE SAME OLD MENUS,NOTHING TO BE ABLE TO FLASH ZIP FILES


CAN YOU PLEASE LEAVE SPISIFIC INSTRUCTIONS ON WHAT TO DO PLEASE OR ANYONE IN THE COMMENTS THAT GOT TRUE WITH IT

First: That recovery was supposed to look exactly like the stock recovery, however it checked for Google test signature keys instead of the private Nextbook update signature keys that the stock recovery used.

Second: The file was obsolete and I have removed the download link. Use TWRP recovery from here instead: http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.php?12618-TWRP-Recovery-with-UBIFS-Support-For-Amlogic-Nextbook-Tablets-(Download-Thread)

Be sure to download the correct version for your tablet.

Freeze on my tablet

Hi! I have a Next 7hd8gb ,buy in Romania on different name (Evolio Evotab Hd),and is getting stuck on logo.I"ve wipe cache,partition but that not solve the problem. Then i install the stock rom taht is posted here ,all good ,installed ok ,everything works good ,but is getting hot and freezing,artifacts,and need restarting.The freezing is quite often.Please help me.

In my experience with this model and several similar models, overheating is common. It is almost impossible to play most games without overheating them to the point of a forced shutdown.

Yes i understand,but with the original stock rom from Evolio(seller) this problem was absent.Now the freeze is very often whithout playing games.What can i do ,how can i optimize the rom? Please help me because the seller don"t share the rom,and now i can"t send to them.Thank you.

The stock ROM was probably further underclocked to prevent overheating by slowing the CPU

If you have root access, you might be able to use an app like SetCPU or No Frills CPU to change the governor / clock speeds to make the tablet slower but cooler and more stable.

Hard bricked tablet

Please help me to unbrick my nx007hd8gb tablet.I tried some roms from other tablet (elf2,onda v711d)and of course they not work ,installed back the nextbook rom,work a little time ,freeze like i told you earlyear in this thread ,stopped by power button and the tablet wont wakeup ,but is recognize in amlogic burning tool. Please help me because is not mine!

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO USE THE AMLOGIC BURNING TOOL!

We DO NOT have the necessary files to use the Amlogic burning tool with your tablet... without them, the only thing you can do is low level format the entire nand chip, completing erasing the internal memory, partition layouts and all! DO NOT DO THIS!

Are you still able to boot into TWRP from external SD card?

If not, you're going to need a bootable rescue SD card, and I haven't made one for your model yet.
