Get started:
Rename the image you want to install to update.img and copy it into the same folder as the tool. (Thank you hanu_blr!)

1. Start the Tool
2. Press 1 for Unpack and 2x Enter
3. Press 3 for Pre-Root and Enter
4. Press 2 for Pack everything and Enter
5. Press 3 for rk3188 and Enter

The pre-Rooted ROM named now "misk8ercfw.img" and you can flash it.

no camera app?

Test this when you want, this what we use now and this is the newest.

There doesn't appear to be a camera app included with this ROM. I tried installing a few from the Play Store but they all said they couldn't access the camera.

Any suggestions for where/how to get a working camera app?

Sorry i use it on a HDMI Stick and this Stick has no cam.

is there a 1080p rom for 2mp cam for cs968 ???

I see there is cloudnetgo 1080p ROM for 5mp, but not for 2mp. I tried flashing 5mp on 2mp cs968 model, the cam does not wrk. Is it possible to replace the 2mp cam driver to 5mp rom and make it wrk ????

There is a version for 2mp from claudnetgo. I can't point you right now, but I have it in my TV 01.

Why is the system rom showing as only 536mb, Internal 2.11gb, SD card 4.63 gb. In titanium backup . Cs968 running cloud net latest firmware.

i was able to download the 5mp 1080p ROM from http://en.cloudnetgo.com/_d275908309.htm, but the 2mp ROM was there as well. I recommend using Chrome so that it automatically translates the Chinese to your language.

** note: the cloudnetgo ROMS are not rooted

on a similar note, if anyone can pre-root the cloudnetgo 5mp ROM and post it for download, I'd be most appreciative. I currently do not have an x64 system to run the CFW tool on.

I would say video playback is good, but not perfect. The 720p kernel versions are running a bit faster, but with the 1080p you get the real sharp hd screen. Possible that it is only my impression, but the rom with 1080p kernel is for me the start for improving a ROM.
I can't say something about the video stream standards, because I haven't tested it.

I have noticed that the 1080p has some trouble with flash, but I don't know why - so far.

On my Stick works not 1 ROM in 1080P on my Big TV, only on my Small PC Monitor. I think i need a new Stick / Box in the next Weeks...
