Minix Neo X7 Quickshot Rom by The Nitro Team

If I change the ROM, I will have to redo all the Apps & settings again (like XBMC-Minix), etc...

I can't know what will happen in the future by using a kernel not designed for your device so the best you can do is to flash de x7 mini version.
You can do a backup of your apps with titanium backup, it's free and you can get it at the google play.
For the xbmc plugins, if you are using the xbmc version bundled with our rom then you have installed the xbmcbackup plugin which comes very handy to this situation Make a backup and then restore it later.
If you are using another xbmc then you can install xbmc backup from the xbmc repos.
If you need detailed steps on how to do this i can help you

I hope it also has true 1080p output and DTS/DD passthrough (patched libmedia.so).

We are working on roms for rk3066 devices too We want to launch it, but we dont have all of them so we will request the colaboration from people to test them in their devices

Following the Daemonium ticks you will have it restored in a few minutes, Sory but I dont have the X7 mini, but I noticed some changes in the firmare and kernel compared to X7, I dont now how it can affect the device, but if you want, you can make a nandroid in cwm too, so if you want to come back to this version you can do it in a few minutes too.

Yes, we made both rom using the same base. But if you have any problem with it only tell us. We dont have the X7 mini device, but a friend of us tested the rom and all works perfect.

Sound output will not go to A2 by default anymore Minix solved it in the last 007E version.

About BT PS controller we didnt test it yet.

Just ran it through again 19072, I'm running the ddr @ 720 using Quick Flasher...



leolas, Where can I find the Quick Flasher apk? I would like to try it on other roms with stock clock settings... I could copy it but much rather get an updated version from the source...

My score using Quickshot was a little over 20,000 with Finless Kernel o/c 720p 1704/798/800 . I moved over to the Minix xbmc version. It runs smoother than all the others i have tried for MKV . In every version i have tried of XBMC i am unable to get HDMI Digital sound for DTS or Dolby. I have tried every possible sound combination in Settings to achieve it without luck. In JustXBMC I had the passthrough option but it did not work for me. Just static sound and choppy video. Plus my Airmouse did not have a few commands i wanted. (Like the "C" command for video source)
For now I have to accept Analog sound until I find a work around online.

It works over USB but something is wrong with BT when 007 came out. Not sure what it is.
Some folks have stated they got it to work over BT (posted instructions in my 1.7 ROM thread).

That is what I imagined. It would be a great surprise that it worked out of the box.

Yes i use the sixaxis app ,and not working..
On Finless 1.8 the same problem ,strange thing is that is was working onley 1 time on finless1.8 after a reboot not working ,deinstaled and instald the sixaxis app another time but no luck.

I do not have a sixaxis controller but I have other BT ones. I'll try to check later with mine to see how it performs.

I tested my A2 yesterday after flashing your rom and you are right. I am happy now Thanks for the nicely crafted ROM..

I have a few issues as below:

• the icons and test in your rom are too small for comfort. Is there anyway to change the size ? I have edited the build prop and made LCD Density to 240, but didnt make any difference. What else should be done to increase the icon size ? I m on default Kernel that comes with your ROM for X7.
• I have replaced the XBMC app with Minix Beta version, but i am not able to use any addons from SuperRepo. 1Channel, Icefilms etc get installed but when i click on it i get plug-in failed error and doesnt play. do you have any suggestion for this ?
