Is there a way to know if its overheating, defective ram, bad rom partition or something I could try?
Turn off sync, turn of notifications, plug tronsmart dongle into USB extension cable.
All delay the problem but don't cure it.

Well done guys, I only managed 2 hours without a crash before this Rom.
Crash happened while waving the air mouse around.
Before it would crash randomly with just "Tunein radio" or XMBC running and no air mouse action.
Thanks a lot, this Rom makes my Minix usable.
PS.
Also much easier to reboot after crash with this Rom, don't need to press and hold the button for 20s, just one press does it.
Only one thing, like everyone else would like the icons bigger, but being a total noob, have no idea where build.prop lives or how to edit it.

leolas.
download the 'build prop' editor from play store.
and change the ro.lcd.density value to 240 (or 200)
I read somewhere in minixforums that someone used a USB extension cable to connect the air mouse receiver (instead of connecting directly to the USB port) and then the reboot issue went away...
I haven't got time to test this...
Please do if you can..

Neo X7 Power Supply
This week i bought an extra power supply for my Minix Neo X7
It's 5v 3000 mA, just like the original.(max 20 watt)
I'm using the Neo X7 downstairs and upstairs.
So i just have to disconnect the cables at the back, instead of unplugging the connector.
(i have to move my cabinet to unplug)
I used the Neo X7 with new power supply upstairs for 4 days: no shutdowns, no freezes.
Past Friday on the original power supply downstairs: 1 shutdown, and on Saturday 1 shutdown.
I'm beginning to think that the stock power supply is crap !
If you are lucky you have a stable one, if your unlucky you have a unstable one.
I will keep on testing this week.
Using: Minix Neo X7, Mele F10 Pro, Quickshot Rom

Otherwise, no freezes/reboots.
Now, I'm using a USB extension wire to connect the Airmouse receiver and keeping it a foot or more away from the device and now I find the freezes are way less frequent.. like only after a continous use of airmouse for 30 minutes or so.. Strange, but good news! (this trick was read somewhere in minixforums.com)
may be my problem will go away forever if I change the power supply as well.

Sleep mode or Shutdown
I also have the tronsmart air mouse and have only had one or two shutdowns while using it (after heavy use). My unit tends to turn off say for example if I leave it on while I sleep (after an extended period of not using the device). I have keep screen active checked and have an apk installed called stayalive but nothing seems to work. Am I am missing something? Is the unit going into a suspend mode? If so how can I stop that from happening? I have to always use the power button on the device to turn it back on btw. Many thanks to anyone who can help.
