You need to flash from original rom,

      LOADER
      PARAMETER
      MISC
      KERNEL
      BOOT
      RECOVERY
      SYSTEM------------>FROM WASSER'S ROM
      BACKUP

      That will work fine.
I just downloaded the wasser-FW, the stock boot.img and the stock kernel.img to flash my T-r42, but how do I flash the Stock Loader, Parameter, Misc, Kernel, boot, recovery and Backup?
You said I take all these from the original firmware and only the System.img from wasser...
So I'm a bit confused how to do it

Have someone already tried to get Picuntu/Linux or other custom Android-ROMs running on the cs918?

      edit:
When I flash the box with "RK Batch tool" and the stock-fw, and afterwards only the wasser-system.img with the rk flash tool, the box still boots up on Stock-FW as I didnt put on the wasser-system...

Fratello, If you have exactly the same model as mine, it shouldnt be the problem to get the stock riamware running on your box!
You can get the correct stock firmware from user BART_TECH, and flash it with the "RK Batch tool":

I have exactly the same question , my R-box doesn't go into recovery mode. I have tried everything the button at the bottom (recovery), pressing both power & recovery buttons, short-cutting 7,8 ; 8,9 ; of the NAND chip, while connecting it via OTG to my PC. The later doesn't even see it. I also tried to flash the images you provided in this thread before: first I used tool Win32DiskImager to write image to SD card, then put the card in slot , then power up and press recovery button.
The only thing I've got is the green android robot stuck in the corner of my screen, no R-Box logo.
So here is the sequence: when connect power adapter - the red light is on, when press power button - blue light is on, then green robot in the corner pops up.
When connect via USB to PC only, the blue light is on, without going through red light stage , which is weird. When press power button and recovery button at the same time - no lights at all, everything is dark, no green robot, the end! Only fully taking power adapter out can help to restore to initial state.
Please help with advise, I've ran out of options.
                    Thanks in advance.
                    P.S. I have ZXSD-Z X005 V02 board.

                      1. unplug all cables from device.
                      2. plug micro usb otg cable into device and into pc (nothing else)
                      3. press and hold litle restore button on which is under device
                      4. plug in power cord (remember to stil hold restore button) and you are in flash mod
                      5. on first time it may not work before driver are instaled but later its working every time.

Thanks man, really good advise. But somehow this doesn't work for me, the problem is that I don't hear a sound from windows telling me that a new device has been found, if I follow your instructions precisely. The device seems like alive , but I have some doubts about it. Any other ideas ?

                          Change:
                          -cable
-USB port (use one of backside of PC)
                          -PC.

"PLEASE NOTE – If it didn’t work or Windows automatically installed a driver you will need to completely remove the driver from the system and start over. To do this varies between systems but basically you will need to locate the device manager on your PC and find a USB device called “RK31SDK″ and completely remove and delete the driver from the system."
