To Lewy : a WiFi problem solution !!!
Hello Lewy,
I've got my T-R42 BT box since a couple of days.
WiFi worked fine for about 15 minutes and then didn't work anymore ... untill this morning : I found a solution . I hope this could help and I would get your opinion about this problem.
In fact, I could see that WiFi was enabled, it was always able to accept the security wpa2psk key, it could get a DHCP address or I could give a static address and other parameters but never could access to my network or internet .
I modified a parameter in my Netgear WRT20N router and then it worked fine. What did I changed ? Simply "channel bandwidth" that was factory set up to "Auto ( 20 or 40 MHz )" that I changed to "20MHz only".
Note that there are several computers at my home ; I think that none were WiFi connected when I first tried and perhaps the box then succeeded in connecting on a 20 MHz bandwidth channel …
It seems that the box is not fully 802.n WiFi compatible.
So my question is : is it a chipset hardware problem or a firmware bug that could be modified ?
Note that before finding that solution, I installed your last firmware but the WiFi problem was the same

Hello.
Today i tried to use spdif passtrough in xmdb.
In Xmdb system configuration i select in audio output - optical. / 5.1
i can see that the libmedia hack is implemented.
on andoid configurations i've got spdif optical, analog&optical, rochchip spdif passthrough and rk29-rk100 passthrough.
i tried all but no sound.
anyone can give me the correct config?

thanks for your work.
This firmware is the only one that works for my box (B351 V2.0).
There will be a future version with a kernel enabled to overclock the CPU / RAM / GPU?
Wasser kernels can work on my box?
Thank you.
Wasser kernels do not work with this ROM, I have tried. They are larger in size also

Hello,
probably this ROM has bricked my device, and there are no ways to unbrick it
Before this, i tried many ROMs with no problems, but after loading this rom my device is no more seen by my pc
I tried also to put the device in ' Mask Rom Mode ' (as suggested by Lewy) shortening two pins of the NAND chip, but with no success
So if someone owns T-R42 with board B351 V1.1 i suggest to not install this rom!!

the problem is that after update, my device is no more seen by my pc...
i flashed this rom because i tried many and many roms,
but found no one with wifi working.
so i tried this rom as last chance...
but in this way i bricked my device...
but:
finally i found the tool that signs correctly all the zips i create
and also the tool that helps to create the zip and the updater script, putting in it all the stuff i want (kernel.img, boot.img, and so on) to make a complete zip to be flashed via recovery menu from SD card, without the need of connection with pc, rkbatchtool, rkandroidtool and so on
It is an XDA thread:
This script has 2 main uses: 1. Modify an update.zip 2. Create an update.zip For #1 - You just extract the contents of an update.zip into the placehere folder, modify its contents, and run the script stating to create an update.zip For #2 - So...
My device find the zips created with these tools valid, so i can do any update i want
I already tried a simple updater scripts that only prints some informations on the screen with ui_print
Now i have only to learn the sintax of the updater script language, and to build the zip with all parts i need to recover my system...
Thanks
