This firmware is for people that have new revisions of T-R42 (latly some users get this insted of K-R42 they ordered) I would like to ask for the feedback so i can know if everything is working as it should.
That said lets go to the firmware futures




changelog:

-based on latest stock firmware
-debloated (striped down to minimum, all deleted orig apps are in downloaded package if anyone need them)
-rooted
-new wallpaper
-"x" bootanimation
-replaced hidebar and power button on systembar
-spoofed as galaxy s3
-some wifi and streaming fixes in build.prop
-kernel choice 720p or 1080p (default 720p)
-720p freq changed (516Mhz-1600) + vsync fix
-1080p freq changed (1008Mhz-1600) + vsync fix
-new option in settings "advanced"
-resolution switch in settings< advanced
-update option under settings< advanced
-init.d supprot (nfs,smb,static mac scripts under etc/init.d "just edit and set permisions as 755)
-nfs support
-new folders under /mnt/
*NFS_1
*NFS_2
*SMB_1
*SMB_2
-new modules added:
*nfsx4
*md4
*virtualtouch
*tun
-"new app" youtube for google tv 1.7.3 (realy hard to get)
-"new app" es file explorer

No problem so far! Bluetooth and wireless also work. In addition, I was able to change to 1080p kernel without issue! Any chance of posting some overclocked kernel?

What is the default screen resolution in your firmware? My TV isn't able to work in 1080p, max 720p.

720p kernel is used as default

i tested it so far.

it seems to be a bit more laggy than the stock 2.0 rom.

i have trouble on stock 2.0 rom with my speedport router. it connects but there is no data flow trough wifi. only way with success was a second router by dlink.

with your custom rom, the dlink also doesnt work well. :/ after a while it is very slow and then it have no connection BUT it is connected to router ?!


i hope this are only softwarebugs. otherwise this 2.0 board is a peace of shit

please try to turn off wifi battery optimize in wifi setting-right top corner-advanced

ok i am testing it now . some more information about my network.


dlink - 54mbit b/g router without security -> works well on stock. router lent by friend.

Speedport Router by Fritz!Box - 300Mbit b/g/n/a router with WPA/WPA2 -> doesnt work with this settings.


without 300mbit checked the TV Box loads with max. ~25kbit. when i change the mode to b + g only and the TV BOX is connected the hole network slows down ?!

battery optimization deactivated.

dlink works.
speedport doesnt. same as before.

Am I right in thinking that the rom you've posted in this thread will not work with this version of t-r42?

Would someone mind checking to see if Google Music works ok with this ROM, also is the only way of finding which board you have is by opening the unit. Don't see any screws does it just pull apart.?
