I think the problem with WiFi is linked to the router. I know 2s T-R42 (mine and my brother). both are working fine on Wi-Fi . I never measured but the speed was sufficient to not ?? about it. (Youtube and web).
The router is set on auto N (D-600, i can deliver the full settings if you wish). my brother has a Asus router (no idea about the model).

A test with a different router might sort things out for you.

The point is, that my Router works well with: htm a6 and huawei ascent g700 Smartphones, asus Memopad hd7 and Acer iconia B1 Tablets, a Asus Notebook and a cosyswan s400 Tvstick...
The only thing making trouble is the T-r42...

I've tested T-R42 with two routers linksys wrt54gc (g) and TP-link tl-wr842nd (n). Wifi is poor on both of them. Comparing to K-R42 2.0 is huge difference in speed.

Yes BT on/off. Angle of antenna is not the problem - signal strenght is very good but wifi is very slow - that is the problem.

I think there's a tool for checking lost packets. Sounds like signal fine but a problem with network traffic.

Via WiFi Analyser, I noticed an increase in signal with Bluetooth ON, but data through-put was still very low with the antenna at all angles.

Personally, my units are connected via Ethernet for reliability and speed.

I flashed wassers 1.2.4 firmware in my 2.0 box and my wifi issues are gone! I'm now getting 38mbps :-)

I flashed wassers 1.2.4 firmware in my 2.0 box and my wifi issues are gone! I'm now getting 38mbps :-)

Im flashed too 1.2.4 and it works, but only before reboot it , after reboot same trouble ....

Please test reboot app, set reboot into recovery, and set the first option reboot system now and test the wifi again. For me works but i need to do this every time that i turn on the box. Apart from this I can't turn on the bluetooth and the remote control doesn't have all the stock functions.
I will investigate to see if I can find the solution to all these problems
