Only 2 out of 3 unit have serial numbers.

      T-R42 131100537

      T-R42 131100538

I presume the third unit is either 535 or 539.

TBH, I use the Ethernet because it's more reliable but I'm willing to carry out some testing.

What would be the best way to extract the kernel from the image so to request a custom CWM recovery?

        Thank you.

use wendal tools to unpack the firmware if you need kernel.
or get it after instalation both 1080p and 720p are in system/preinstall folder

Lewy20041, Would it be possible to add a 'shutdown' option to the 'power off' menu?

                Thank you.

Has anyone tried any other kernels with this firmware? It's pretty stable for me except Xbmc Gotham a8 crashes sometimes.

                    Have you tried alpha 10?

I'm running MythTV via XBMC without any issues with this firmware.

Could You share link to place where i can download kernels for t-r42?
I would like also to test with lewy20041's soft.
                      I found with overclock only:

This is the thread that had several kernels that I wanted to try. Once you extract the kernel from the firmware how do you flash it? CWM?

Please be aware, there's two versions of the hardware available and you're suggesting to mix a V2 ROM with V1 kernels.

You could use 'rkpatchomatic' to overclock the 720P & 1080P kernels found in the 'system/preinstall' folder of this ROM.

The included remote functions well to navigate the ROM and various applications like Netflix and YouTube.

However, I would suggest the default key operations could be tuned to better suit XBMC, but this is beyond this topic.
