CoreElec / LibreElec builds for GT1 Mini 2 S905X3 ?
sogoku_vn . Wrxtasy from the Kodi forum, has posted an ssh command to increase the speed of the GPU. It may help. It is easy to do, using Putty to access your box. Here is what he posted.
" For some reason GPU Max clocking has been removed in CoreELEC 9.2.x
To crank it up to 792MHz, from memory...
echo "echo 2 > /sys/class/mpgpu/scale_mode" >> /storage/.config/autostart.sh
A faster microSDHC also helps like the the Samsung EVO ones, but nothing is as fast an eMMC storage."
How did you get the different information screen?? Did you change skin?
Did you test you box with Alda64 and cpuz to find out if your box truly has a S905X3 SoC??
Also, the Amlogic S905X2 will software decode Netflix in 720p, but NOT 1080p, that makes me wonder if they sold you a S905X2 and said it was an X3............. Maybe open the box and look at the CPU (SoC).
Another thought, go to the CoreELEC forum and ask if there is a ssh command that will tell you what the CPU actually is...... You can use Putty to access your box with the ssh command..
Which part of Alda64 will tell us the actual CPU model ? I only see for mybox 4xArm cortex-A55 @ 1908 MHz, rev r1p0.

I teardown my box, It is S905X3 with SAMSUNG DDR3L K4B2G0446D. I overclock GPU speed by ssh command but nothing change, still CPU 100% and not smooth when many fight scenes. S905X3 has 4xA55 so Aida64 is true cortex-A55 @ 1908 MHz while S905X2 has 4xA53

Then I have no clue why the Beelink plays in 1080p perfectly, but not yours.......... I thought the CPU was what gave it the power to software decode the 1080 stream.....
Also, does while under CoreELEC and go to system information, hardware, does it tell you the CPU??
I checked my Beelink King, and King Pro and the Mini2....... here are the pics of them.

it is an interesting problem in that sense.
I would also suspect because the size of the memory is smaller, and therefore the default buffers allocated for the decoding is kind of short.
But the posted picture also revealed memory has not been max-ed out right ? Maybe the default size of buffers were not been allocated correctly ( by the chrome OS decoding library ).

adding a big heatsink and a fan, temp CPU decrease. But still dropped frame, not smooth or slow and CPU ~100%,
Cpu-Z
Aida64
kodi android info
while my RPI 4 is smooth, play well with same SD card, same monitor and 4k TV
You can try with usb stick(coreelec on usb)?maybe is something with card reader on that box .Is posible beelink have superior hw vs tanix (2vs 4 ,ddr3 vs ddr4)
