I get my box Vorke Z1 box tomorrow... I want to restore using Titanium Backup, so need root... but did not understand what you meant above here.. do you mean it IS rooted, but will lose root somehow? What do you mean by "changes between THE TWO..." which two do you mean, rooted and not rooted? Lastly, what will cause the boot loop, updating to ANY SU in the play store?

i mean, this rom have root/unroot option, but if you update the su (app asks to update because its out of date) then you cant unroot again, if you try to unroot you will have problems!

Ok cool, so if I choose to have the root option, and NEVER update the SU app, it will stay rooted without problems?

Yes, its not the su APP but the su binary the app you can update it just fine!

Im trying but failing to install a ROM
PC method does not work, the PC never makes sound or and the USB method USB BURNING TOOL gives no indication that there is any connection to the Zorke box... no green light.
USB Micro SD method - image on SD card, power on while using toothpick to get to recovery... I get to recovery but no flashing happens.

Anything else I can try?
Help much appreciated!

I get the same /misc error when I boot to recovery mode trying to install via SD card method.
before that I get the error
"E: failed to mount /dev/block/mmcblk0 on /sdcard by read-only
E: footer is wrong
E: signature failed
Installation aborted
OTA Failed.

You need the use the file inside the zip, and not the zip itself....
This rom its not to flash by normal "recovery" flash, you need to flash using a pc or use another sdcard method that uses the "Burn Card Maker" to make the sdcard.
Do a search and you find what you need in the forum!

I think there needs to be a sticky here which explains how to use the burn card maker, where to get it etc... it does not help that freakbuyer's support pages for the Vorke z1 give the incorrect info, they say to put the image on the sd card... no mention of any burn card maker at all... anyhow, I have managed to get it done, and it is working fine so far, just trying to get Titanium backup to restore more than two apps before freezing, but that is TB these days.

Are you going to give an update for this rom cause also on my box tv app repo is crashing all the time I can't open it anymore . Is not a big problem of course but it would be nice if you could give an update so the app will be working again .

I swear on the stock rom I can use Teamviewer quick support to connect to my box. On this modified rom I can connect to it and see my screen but I can't control any of the menus.

I have successful flashed the Vorke Z1(DDR4) Superceleron V1 rom with with burnCardMaker.
The home screen is better then before.
So i think that its not necessary to flash SCV2-ATV. ore shall i try it ?
