no matter if wifi chip is ap6220 or rk901 or 903 or even humpty dumpty if you got a rom for 808 or 808b at least it's supposed to boot even if wifi module cannot been activated during the boot process it is skipped and the kernel will load all the rest normaly

humm also try first a 720p boot img and kernel first to be sure it is not a tv trick..

I have definitely tried different types of USB leads and PSUs. No luck.

This latest flash with the above zero devices seems to be doing more. When it first boots up i get a recovery mode message, then formatting device, cache, and SD card messages. Then it either keep looping round through zero devices logo or and android logo.... At least its something different!

china hdmi supplied cable is too cheap for certain tv and might be the problem as i have when i try to plug it after unpack the gift from china. it was my problem (black screen, not pass the google tv logo and the robot screen).when i receive my mk808b original. first i register to freaktab to get an answer about it and made my first post about it take a look:

I think malfrat's ROM link looks good, but it seems the download speed is capped to 30kb/s.

I found this on Android-Hilfe, going by the filename it is older than malfrat's, but still an option:

first flash finless 1.7 version accoding to your device and try all decribed above and also unplug both ac power and hdmi 10 second when trying to reboot. yeah i found that my rca hdmi output much voltage to keep my mk alive-but-off when i reboot. for that i have to reboot sometime 3 time to have a fresh reboot without unplug the hdmi cable. weird... or simply turn off tv and plug the power to the stick and turn tv on

The instructions on how to flash Finless ROM's that he has made are included with them... it is the readme first.txt file....
