Looks the some are also seeing reboot ,double logo issue on the SD kernels.

Would have thought the lower demand on the gpu would avoid that but it appears not.

Having a new problem just now. Audio is gone while watching streaming video, reboot does not fix the problem. I will power it off and let it cool down, then try again.

all audio. It's good now after power it off for a while then reboot. not sure what happened.

Sometime I have sound problem to. I have a hdmi selector turning on off solve problem or select other source. My blueray home theater also seem to loose proper conection and again on/off will resume dts and dolby. Maybe hdmi handshake is poor on those device.

I'm trying various kernel/rom combinations but I always have a problem with either Wifi or Flickering screen. If a rom doesn't have screen flickering problem then wifi doesn't work and viceversa I've never had both working until now.
First question: I have a mk809iii stick with the following chipset:



Does your rom works with it?
What are the differences between the two "AP210/AP6210-alt/AP6330 --> TV Stick (SD)" kernels (second and fourth)?
Can you suggest me a rom that is stable and rooted?

Hi Omar,

this is a kernel, not a ROM but yes your device is supported.
I'm pretty happy with this ROM:

in combination with D33's great kernel from this thread.

No flickering, smooth, fast, stable and rooted.

SD = 720p and HD = 1080p, no other differences as far as I'm aware of.

Give it a try, you'll be suprised.

I tested this kernel on NCR MK809III 3.1 and Tech1's KK ROM for CR11s/CS968 (5/1/14).

Before flashing both ROMs worked fine, BT/Wifi apart. With your kernel I had bootloop soon after a couple of seconds of flickering boot animation.

BTW, for this stick, the only ROM I found with working BT/Wifi is cyxtech_rk31_809III_8089_140324_2G, which is a 4.2.

first thing noticed is the boot logo is different . Is this for Box or Stick? I see a few more options in the sound setting. But my stick does not like OC GPU, I am getting the double logo and double boot with the new kernel. Too bad, I have to go back to the V4 kernel without GPU OC.

Can you tell us what's new in the new kernel?

Yeah many seem to have gotten limited gpu in these things.
