On my Pipo M9Pro tablet with RileyRom 2.6 and its kernel CPU-Z shows "Clock Speed 312 MHz - 1.61 GHz", AnTuTu details shows "CPU 1608 MHz (x4)".

Please remember that all v2.6 is, is a combination of the last M7 Pro ROM with the same kernel as v2.5. I haven't seen a fresh KK ROM for the M9 Pro that has any other configuration. I've downloaded the ROM mentioned in the above posts from the Pipo BBS but haven't looked at the kernel to see if it is different.

I need someone to flash this kernel and tell me if it's the same kernel or not.

If it is, in fact, a new kernel...I can update the ROM with it.

Otherwise, I will just stick with the current ROM until we come up with a newer KK release.

I have asked Pipo to give me access to their testing KK releases, but they declined...saying that the test team doesn't understand English.

Maybe some of you users would have better luck at finding an update to share with me. I haven't seen anything on my sources for weeks.

They both report a Kernel version of 3.4.0 but have different dates.

The kernel is dated from 19 march
This time, I couldn't find the link to download the Firmware...

But I find a modded ROM (lite ROM) coming from this Firmware (kernel 19 march)

Maybe you can only take the kernel (or/and the system.img ) of this ROM and try to add to your ROM and see if some problem could be resolve with the new kernel (or system.img)

The ROM is here: http://pan.baidu.com/share/link?shar...7&uk=422742871 (not easy to catch)

I have uploaded this ROM on mediafire : http://www.mediafire.com/download/ef...0%E7%89%88.zip

Extract and go to folder ROM and Image (inside image it is already unpack like your ROM: kernel.img / boot.img. / system.img etc...)
                It may be worth trying

Firstly I want to thank Randy for his great ROM.
I have flash the kernel in post #328 and I have one desagrement : when I move appication fron local memory to SB card, I lost icon on the desk. Otherwise all works fine, very speed SIM unlock (compare with JB), GPS ok and Antutu = 18700.

OK...now that we've verified this is a whole new firmware, I will get to work on a new KK RileyROM.

Sorry to ask another probably extremely noob question (as usual!), but can anyone tell me the best way to boot into recovery with this?

My tablet is running EXTREMELY well with this ROM, by far the best it ever has, I want to make a Nandroid backup of it now!

Before, I installed Arctools to boot into recovery, is this the best way, or is there another way now?

If the tablet is off, then hold the power and escape keys down together until the Pipo logo appears.

If the tablet is on, then you could use the Reboot app that's on the 2.6 ROM to boot into Recovery mode.

                                almost perfect

                                It was very good!

                                Thank you.

But my GPS does not work, incidentally, never worked.

I think that Pipo M9 Pro does not come, you can not. Must be a glitch.

I downloaded several versions and nothing.

Have installed FasterGPS and does not work too! :/
