    Randy, I'm loving this ROM!
Haven't tried GPS yet as I don't use it, but otherwise everything seems silky smooth.
Now all that's missing is some custom kernel love... Anyone??

Thanks again for your dedicated support and efforts

        My comments to 2.6 KitKat

        Thanx for this release Randy.
I have installed it yesterday (and updated to kernel B today) without any issues.
        Can report that:
        - GPS is working fine
        - Deep Sleep is working
        - Battery drain is minimal - lost only 3% over night of 8 hours (from fully charged 100% to 97%)
        - AnTuTu is 18476
Generally all works just fine (so far ...)
        Thanx again for your work
        /Kastrup

I can confirm also that GPS in working perfect. It did take ages to get fix for the first time. One thing that might have slowed my tablet down, I did it indoors, by a window. After initial fix has been made, it works fast, seems to get fix in 10-20 secs.

I thank you, because it was, nor isn't your responsibility to do this ROMs and you put in so much time on them free of charge, but I still have to reported the issues I'm having.

-One more thing I'm experiencing is that when I have a finger on the screen and am scrolling through a list, like in YouTube video search the tablet assumes taps on other places of the screen on the x axis of where my finger is and therefore taps on other videos or sections, this is a first timer.

In appearance and performance wide its seemed smother, but in practical functionality I've lost 3 features that I need, as of now.

            -GPS, in my case.
            -WifiDisplay.
            -Precise screen scrolling.

Don't know which one worked but the net result was a green square in the Rockchip flash tool, which enabled me to flash KitKat again - this time with success!!
Thanks for your efforts & your help. Kind regards.

                  • Hold it in portrait mode, camera on right
                  • Intsall and run ntpsync
                  • Calibrate the compass by rotating/cartwheeling on all 3 axes
                  • Sit outdoors somewhere without obstructing trees/buildings
                  • Once you have a fix keep it going for 30+ minutes to download the updated almanac from sats

                      AWSOME JOB RILEY

Tryed Riley 2.5 version to no success. Couldn't get WiFi to work and with 2.6 every thing works great. I love this ROM never going back to JB. Thanks Riley for your hard work. I have a question off topic for you riley. Riley have you gotten any new fire trucks at you department in the last 10 years? If so what Kind of truck do you have?

Right now we are using Sutphen trucks. They are very dependable.

Our while fleet consists of 6 Pierce trucks and 3 Sutphen's. I really like the Pierce product...but ours are getting about 20 years old. I don't buy them...I just ride them.

That's awesome. Ya the chiefs buy the truck. I still think Pierce is the best on the market.

Riley what do you think about this:

Are we getting exited about a fake KitKat?
