        Re: Custom kernel for M6Pro

Been using M6Pro_140427_r5 for a couple of days and haven't had any issues with it. My M6Pro is the most responsive and stable it has ever been. Many thanks for the efforts of maakie and all others involved in making this kernel.

I have an unlucky CPU. In spite of that I think I will try some of giouncino's tweaked versions of this kernel to see how they work on my tablet. Fingers crossed.

It's very strange! That was a problem of the first maakie's version! At the moment, also my tablet is charging from off. I will give you some feedback soon!------------------------------------------UPDATE------------------------------------------Charging from off condition is perfectly working.I'm using a modded version of the latest maakie kernel, but I think it's not significant

                1. Fully charged device off
                2. Turned on 91% and after a minute goes to 87%
                3. Flashed stock kernel (The one included in ROM Package) battery 56%
                4. Flashed back to latest OC kernel battery: 87%
                5. Flashed stock kernel from chinese kitkat ROM battery: 56%

Don't know if its a hardware issue or what

With these new kernels you need to use a battery calibration app to have reliable battery indication. Not necessary to flash back all the ROM.

It should be enough to delete the file /data/bat_last_capacity.dat

Now using stock kernel... Hopefully you will take a look at the battery charging problem

Did you try my modded one based on the kernel prepared by maakie? Many people are using these kernels and no one have your problem.

For the longest time I thought I had an unlucky chip? I wasn't able to achieve any over clocking except for memory. All others would either not boot or crash soon thereafter. Even though I could use the mem over clocking, I was still getting frequent random sod's as well as soft reboots.

I decided to wipe my M6Pro and start with a clean Reilly 1.8 install, adding back apps slowly. I installed the latest maakie kernel and found it to be very stable and quite responsive/smooth. I only added back a dozen or so of the apps I use regularly. Everything was incredibly stable. No issues whatsoever.

I decided to try my luck with your cpu/mem overclocked versions of the latest maakie. I am now running the 1704/1.325 with 768 ram and it has been rock solid. It appears that my CPU is NOT unlucky. Either my OS got flaky somewhere along the way with my kernel flashing, or the maakie kernel is more stable or I had a rogue app causing issues. It could also have been the launcher. I am currently using Google Now launcher whereas I wasn't before.

The short of it... Perhaps going back to step one and building from there might yield better results for users. It was definitely worth the effort for me. This tablet now rocks! Thanks maakie and giouncino.

Yeah. Everything except the battery (Full charged from off only 10% or less if turned on.) works fine. Never encounter this problem with the stock kernels but i like the features added in this kernel
