found it...Turns out that pasting com.google.android.maps.xml and com.google.android.maps.jar into /system/etc/permissions and /system/framework/ respectively was part of the answer, but permissions need to be set to Owner/Read, Owner/Write, Group/Read, and Others/Read.
Reboot and both apps will install just fine.Comment

help!!! i had used root explorer to put the apks in system/app , and i reset and format the device and stuck in setup wizard , its keep stopped and cant click back to home screen or other apps, only able to access to system setting...........totally shit now........Comment
