Try reinstalling gapps as per bobs instructions... this has worked for me as has location awareness too..
I am able to install most all apps of play market but some say incompatible(none of the ones mentioned do) and am able to update google maps etc when they become available too..
Something somewhere has not worked and will look a little deeper into it...Will do a full wipe of my tablet(after doing a backup) and reinstall after applying fixes etc..And see what happens and report back but please give me till tomorrow to have done this as am currently on duty etc...
regards

Perhaps bob can show more light on this since he got wifi location services working fully on the g2.. You have this working on g3? As I see on arctablet it doesn't work with the 9 g3..with adding those 2 files it only enabled google currents to download..maps..angry birds , Facebook , twitter all say not compatable
As for using a diff build.prop I'm not sure what I'm looking for also I don't think this was changed since he's got these apps working

OK location services.... You are not going to be happy about this.
I have tried for a LONG TIME to get location services working on Arnova tablets. For some reason they neutered it! It is not a kernel problem so it should be able to be fixed. But I have tried everything about this I could find on the net and to no avail. I could NEVER get it working. For sure it is some set of files and possible setting in the framework-res itself. I just do not know.
I do know it can be fixed because the Cube system files used in my 2.0 ROM it works. I just have not been able to find the right set or combination of files required to get it working on the stock ROM.
Trust me many have tried too. We have a old thread on here discussing it and trying all kinds of ideas. Again I have never been able to figure it out yet.
So even when I come out with my 10bG3 rooted ROM, it is still not going to work. Sorry.

Actually I did at least get it working in google maps!
In Gingerbread you use ANYCUT app and then go to shortcut, Activity. Then search through the list and find Setup Wizard. There maybe a few of them listed and some may force close. But ONE of them will launch the original Google Wizard for location services setup! When you run that and check both boxes and continue. Now Google Maps will find your location.
I DO NOT KNOW if that same thing exists in thie Anova ICS ROM however but my bet it does.

Probably a file missing on the Google setup side.
